Celebrating the Preview
You never climb the same mountain twice, not even in memory. Memory rebuilds the mountain, changes the weather, retells the jokes, remakes all the moves. ~Lito Tejada-Flores

Vermont Rambler - Long Trail Section Hike
September 19-25, 2021
Vermont
Approximately 45-miles

Section Hike Description:  The Long Trail (LT) extends the length of the state of Vermont and is considered one of the iconic backpacking trails. The trail typifies New England hiking as it winds its way on the main ridge of the Green Mountains and crosses Vermont’s highest peaks. The LT is rugged and riddled with rocks, roots, water, moss and fern. It is as beautiful as it is challenging. As the oldest long-distance trail in the United States, it proudly boosts its toughness as well as its knobby and distorted trees and unabated steep ascents and descents. It is not a gentle walk in the wilderness. More like a walk where each night is reached with an earned rest and bold confidence of having gotten it done.

Includes: Every effort has been made to make this an all-inclusive offering. Meals outside of the hike are not included and you are encouraged to visit one of the local eateries.

  • All in the field meals and snacks.
  • Shared maps and individual bootleg data book.
  • Lodging (double occupancy) provided for the nights of September 18th and September 25th.
  • All designated campsite fees.

Per Person Rate: $1,150 - Early Bird Registration through December 15 is $950

Registration Closes: August 29, 2021

Survival Practice (with solo) Weekend
October 8-11, 2021
Vermont

Workshop Description:  For a lot of years we have been sharing with outdoor enthusiasts the skills and practices to keep themselves safe in the backcountry. We all know, and should understand, that you can do everything right and something can still go wrong.

For the 2021 offering we are changing the schedule to add a half day of autumn hiking before we delve into skill practice. This will allow the schedule to slow down for more practice and less concept training.

Includes: Price includes all weekend instruction, non-solo meals (although food for the solo will be cached for you to find), snacks and a small handful of survival supplies.

Per Person Rate: $575 - Early Bird Registration through December 15 is $525

Registration Closes: September 17, 2021
