LEAF PICK-UP REMINDERS

Leaf pick up reminders from the Public Works Team! These photos showcase some scenarios that make it hard for the leaf truck to pick up leaf piles effectively.

✔️ Keep those leaves away from light poles! The leaf truck cannot access leaves too close to poles.

✔️ To ensure that leaf piles can be picked up, city staff requests that vehicles not park on the street when possible during scheduled leaf pick up days.

Thank you for helping out the Public Works team!

PICK UP NEWS: The leaf truck repairs have been completed! PW staff has started picking up leaves and will work through the areas in order of zone schedules. Staff will work as fast as possible to get caught up and we will continue to update social media channels with progress! PW staff will plan to work over the weekend to get back on schedule. We apologize for the delays and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Holiday Kindness Project

In partnership with the Roeland Park Police Department, a community partner is hosting a gift card drive to help ease the financial strain this holiday season and bring joy to our community.

Residents are encouraged to purchase $10-$20 gift cards from local RP businesses, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. and drop them off with the cashier at City Hall. RPPD officers will distribute the cards at their discretion to RP residents in need. Last year, RPPD was able to surprise and delight many appreciative neighbors!

Holiday Donations
