Trojans News
Langston Elementary Leadership Academy and our Hot Springs Junior Academy are both Leader in Me schools. Part of the Leader in Me model is using leadership habits to enhance curriculum. Leadership Habit 4 “Think Win-Win” encourages students to look for solutions during conflict that allow everyone to benefit and/or “win.” Sixth grade teacher at Langston Mrs. Ross used skit prompts to teach this habit in her classroom.
5th grade students at our Oaklawn Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School enjoyed a library gallery walk to view iconic photographs of the Great Depression. Music was played from the time period, as students worked to answer seven reflective questions about the images. See more, here.
