Trojans News

The HSPSEF was begun in 2017. With great partnership from the district and generous support from alumni across the central Arkansas area, they have made wonderful progress in identifying specific ways to enhance district initiatives. Through the first ever HSSD Enrichment Grants, the Foundation is directly supporting the initiatives of Hot Springs educators and helping to enhance the programs that students care about. The HSPSEF Foundation Board selected 11 HSSD projects and programs as the first ever Enrichment Grant recipients, and awarded each with funds at the HSSD October Board Meeting. See the recipient list, and learn more, here.
Safety is our top priority at the Hot Springs School District. We are proud to announce the approval of our Hot Springs School District Institutional Law Enforcement Agency by the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training, which will be directed by Chief Carl Seymour. A rkansas Symphony Orchestra Guild Visits Park Magnet
Visitors from the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Guild spent time with our Park Magnet School 2nd graders to introduce common instruments one would find in a symphony orchestra. Students got to hold acrylic print-outs of the instruments and pretend to play them as they listened to a sound sample. Thank you to these wonderful community partners!
Educational Audiology/Speech Pathology Resources for Schools (EARS) is an outreach program of Arkansas Children’s Hospital that works with the HSSD to offer hearing evaluations, technical assistance to students and staff members with hearing aids and other hearing devices, hearing loss resources and tips, and more. Learn more about how the EARS program assists the HSSD and HSSD School Nurses, and when a representative will visit each school. See more, here.
