Trojans News
Gardner STEM third graders exchanged positive affirmations as a hands-on exercise in the power of kindness, in Mrs. Sierocuk’s class. Third grade teachers brainstormed as a team to devise a classroom activity that could create encouragement from students to other students. They reasoned that our kids easily forget sometimes that encouragement doesn’t always need to come only from our teachers; it can sometimes mean more if it comes from peers. Read more, here.
Law enforcement agencies worked with HSSD Director of Safety Carl Seymour to complete a random K-9 search at the Hot Springs World Class High School. K-9 Units from the Hot Springs Police Department, National Park Service, and the Garland County Sheriff's Office participated. These random searches are arranged at all HSSD campuses, multiple times each school year. Read more, here.

Find details here about our exciting 2019 Homecoming Festivities, all to take place Friday, October 11. Our students K-12 will come together for a districtwide Pep Rally at 9:00 a.m. K-8 students will be bussed to and from the HSWCHS. Immediately following the Pep Rally, a Homecoming Court Reception will follow in the Gym. Per tradition, the entire community is invited to join us that evening for the crowning of King and Queen, with Trojan Football to follow!

Angela Bates and Katie Bradley, the "Blooming Bee-lievers," represented Hot Springs School District at the 2019 LEA Administrator's Academy with the same enthusiastic, energetic passion with which they co-teach their fourth grade class at Oaklawn Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School. This HSSD co-teaching team has quickly become a role model for successful implementation of the Arkansas Co-Teaching Project. Read more, here.
