K-2 NWEA TESTING

K-2 NWEA Testing continues this week. These tests are designed for younger learners and enable teachers to pinpoint where students are on their learning paths. Identifying this starting point as early as possible and tracking growth over time on a reliable scale is essential to getting students on track and ensuring long-term academic success.

7th & 8th GRADE

PRE-REGISTRATION

Attention 7th and 8th Grade parents. Be on the lookout for pre-registration forms coming home with your student by Friday, Feb. 2. Please look these over with your child to determine their classes for the 2024-25 school year and please plan to join us at Parent Night. Click here for more information and see the graphic below.

The Hot Springs School District is proud to offer the HSSD Welcome Center, located at 702 Main Street. This is a space for parent and family outreach services and resources, including language assistance.

100 Days of School

HSSD Has Talent!

The talent of our students was on full display this past week and we couldn't be more proud of them. On Thursday, 14 students from all four elementary schools and the Hot Springs Junior Academy competed in the Garland County Spelling Bees with our students finishing fourth - sixth, their best performance to date.

The Senior Beta Club and Senior Choir hosted a Talent Show on Friday and we saw some amazing performances. Congratulations to Abigail Hedrick (holding a gold bag) for taking first place with her original song and piano playing. She will now represent the HSWCHS at the United Way's Talent Show on March 7. John Sullivan placed second with his version of "Just Ken" and Miley Rosburg was third with her performance of Adele's "Easy On Me."
