Town Meetings Postponed

Broward County remains under a Tropical Storm Warning and Hurricane Watch with heavy rain, wind, and possible flooding expected.

Changes to Upcoming Town Meeting Schedule

  • Tonight’s Town Commission Meeting is rescheduled for Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. in Jarvis Hall (4505 N. Ocean Drive).

  • Tomorrow’s Citizen Participation Meeting for 233 Commercial Boulevard is postponed. Please stay tuned for the new date.

  • Tomorrow's Town Manager Business Meeting has been canceled.

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Closure

BCPS, District offices, and before and after school care programming will remain closed through Friday and will reopen on Monday, November 14, 2022.

Garbage and Recycling Collection

As of this update, garbage collection will take place tomorrow as scheduled, but recycling will not be collected. Due to overnight winds, please wait to place your garbage cans out until tomorrow morning before 6:30 a.m. and do not place any debris or bulk trash in the swale.

Be Cautious of Flash Flooding

Forecasted King Tides and the effects of Tropical Storm Nicole may cause localized flash flooding. Town staff will be monitoring the situation closely, and we ask that you avoid walking, biking, or driving through flooded streets. It’s common for water to take 24 hours to recede in swale areas.
