Hurricane's center brings heavy rains, winds as it crosses into Georgia

ATLANTA - The eye of Hurricane Idalia has crossed into southern Georgia after making landfall on the Florida Coast Wednesday morning.

As of 11 a.m., Idalia is a Category 2 hurricane with winds of up to 90 miles per hour. Despite the reduction in strength, the storm is still bringing heavy rains and strong winds as it enters the Peach State just 15 miles southeast of Valdosta.

Please stay safe!

As you can see below, prices for detached homes in Alpharetta are leveling out, while for Johns Creek it has increased a bit after being flat the month before.

Also, notice that the average price for Alpharetta/Johns Creek homes is significantly higher compared to all the homes in Georgia (bottom line in the chart).

I can tell you from our business that the number of buyers looking at properties have slowed down, but there is expected as we head into the fall.

Mortgage rates hitting 7%+ hasn't helped, however we still have plenty of business happening as deals are closed every day.
