Good Morning Truckee: Wolves in the Sierra
Tuesday, April 21, 2026 | 8:00 - 9:30 a.m.
Join us next Tuesday for Good Morning Truckee: Wolves in the Sierra: A Local Update. Wolves have made a rare and notable return to the Sierra Nevada, and their presence is raising important questions for our region. Join us for a timely and informative conversation about what this means for our community, environment, and local industries.
Our featured speaker, Rick Roberti, representing the California Cattlemen’s Association, will share firsthand insights from Sierra County, where wolves have had a direct impact on ranching operations and rural life. This on-the-ground perspective will provide valuable context on the challenges, realities, and ongoing efforts to navigate coexistence.
We’ll also hear from students at Sierra High School, who have been closely following the story of wolves in our region. They’ll present their original documentary—previously featured at a wildlife film festival—offering a unique and thoughtful look at this evolving issue through the eyes of the next generation.
