TART Park + Ride Free Shuttles, Plus TART Connect and Local Area Transit Holiday & Winter Schedule
Tahoe Truckee Area Regional Transit (TART) makes getting around the Tahoe-Truckee region easy and free, helping to reduce traffic, CO2 emissions, and parking headaches. Once again, through partnerships with the Town and our local resorts, TART is offering complimentary Park & Ride shuttle service from Truckee to Palisades Tahoe, Northstar California Resort, and Sugar Bowl Resort. Weekend Park & Ride shuttles run every 15 minutes from Truckee High School lower field lots to Palisades Tahoe from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., hourly to Northstar from Lift Truckee Workspace from 7:09 a.m. to 5:09 p.m., and from Cold Stream Rd. transit center in Truckee to the summit - 5 loops to Sugar Bowl with Donner Lake, Donner Ski Ranch and more stops in between at 7:10 a.m. 8:10 a.m. 12:10 p.m. 4:10 p.m. and 5:10 p.m.
TART Connect, Truckee's on-demand microtransit service has begun extended winter hours service, operating within Truckee town limits from 6:30 am to midnight daily, with extended late-night service Dec. 26–31 to help with holiday travel. TART Connect also provides on-demand night service to Northstar Village (except on Christmas Day). Riders can book via the TART Connect app or by phone.
In addition to shuttles and microtransit, TART’s fixed-route buses like the Highway 89, Highway 267, and Truckee Local routes are free and run daily, linking Truckee with North Tahoe communities and ski areas throughout the holiday period. Please note that Truckee Local Transit bus service and night service to Northstar will not operate on Christmas Day. Regional TART service will run as scheduled.

January Networking Mixer at Tahoe Donner's New Downhill Ski Lodge
Thursday, January 22, 2026 | 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Please join us at 5:00 p.m. on January 22 for our first Networking Mixer of the year at Tahoe Donner's beautiful new Downhill Ski Lodge! Enjoy a guided tour, delicious food and drinks from the bar, great company, and many fun giveaways. Tahoe Donner will provide tours every 15 minutes. There will be live music, and Veronica Lichter of RumpusArt will be there doing mini portraits!
Tahoe Donner's brand new 24,000 sq ft lodge is ADA compliant and features a spacious, enhanced cafeteria and bar, easy, direct access to lifts, a fantastic new sun deck, a separate kids ski school with easy drop off, and more.
This event is for Truckee Chamber Members and Tahoe Donner staff and guests only. Registration is required.

Truckee Chamber of Commerce makes it easy for your business to comply with California’s labor laws by providing forms prepared by the California Chamber of Commerce.
No matter how many employees you have in California, your business is required by law to post a current California and Federal Employment Poster in a central location by January 1, 2026. If you have Spanish-speaking employees, you're required to have a poster in Spanish as well.

MORE END OF YEAR EVENTS
In addition to Christmas Eve in Historic Downtown Truckee with shopping, hot cocoa, caroling, live music and more, there are several other holiday events, culminating on New Year's Eve with entertainment and special celebrations at your favorite local restaurants as well as torchlight parades, live music, and fireworks at Tahoe Donner, Northstar California Resort, and Palisades Tahoe.
We also have a lot of great programs coming up in January! Please save the date of January 20 for our January Good Morning Truckee monthly breakfast meeting. We will hear from and Tahoe Food Hub, TTUSD's Award-Winning Food Service, and other sources of local food in Truckee-Tahoe. We have our January Networking Mixer at Tahoe Donner's New Downhill Ski Lodge on January 22, and on January 28, please plan to join us for Membership University - learn how to take advantage of Truckee Chamber Membership benefits. We'll meet at Springhill Suites, in Truckee from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
