Truckee Navigation Center Celebrates with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
It was terrific to see so many people supporting the official ribbon-cutting for the Truckee Navigation Center last Friday. The Navigation Center pilot in Truckee is a new resource designed to support residents experiencing homelessness with shelter, day services, and case management. The project is a one-year pilot, staffed by Volunteers for America.
Along with the ribbon-cutting attended by around 250 people, the Tahoe Truckee Homeless Action Coalition held an open house. The center’s target opening date is next week on February 25. We are proud to be a participating organization - our President and CEO Jessica Penman has been an active participant of the Tahoe Truckee Homeless Action Coalition since their work began. Congratulations to all the organizations and citizens who came together to make this vision a reality.
