Meet New Member: Painted Vine

The Truckee Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Painted Vine and Principal/Artist Veronica Lichter as a new member! Painted Vine adds a creative, connection-driven experience to the Truckee-Tahoe business community through fully mobile group art sessions. Led by local artist Veronica Lichter, Painted Vine offers guided painting experiences designed for workplace teams, businesses, and private groups. Sessions emphasize expression over perfection, creating a relaxed, judgment-free environment where participants can unwind, collaborate, and connect in a new way. No prior art experience is needed.

Painted Vine sessions can be hosted at offices, event venues, restaurants, private homes, or breweries. All materials, setup, and instruction are included, and each experience is customized to reflect the group’s culture, goals, or shared inspiration, often drawing from the Tahoe landscape. Artist Matthew Osgood, a landscape painter and craftsman also leads Painted Vine events, bringing a different creative perspective to the experience.

Painted Vine is well suited for corporate retreats, holiday parties, leadership summits, and networking events. Participants frequently express surprise at both what they’ve created and how the experience strengthened team relationships.

The Truckee Chamber's next Community Connections event will be a Paint & Sip collaboration with Painted Vine and Sharp Hood Real Estate Group at their office in the Westgate Center on February 19! Enjoy sips and bites and great company. Space is limited, so register to reserve your canvas.

Commercial Cardboard Recycling Reminder

Truckee’s cardboard drop-off dumpsters are for residential use only. State law requires businesses to recycle cardboard through a recycling collection service or by self-hauling cardboard to a certified facility. Truckee businesses have several options for recycling cardboard for free or at low cost, including:

1. Place cardboard in your blue cart. Blue carts are free up to the same capacity of your trash service.

2. Haul cardboard to Eastern Regional Landfill, located 10 minutes from downtown Truckee on Hwy 89 South. ERL accepts clean, broken-down cardboard for free.

3. Businesses with large quantities of cardboard can also subscribe to a reduced cost cardboard dumpster service through TTSD. Businesses without space can share with a neighboring business.

For questions or assistance right sizing your trash set-up, reach out to Keep Truckee Green staff at (530) 582-2928 or Recycle@TownOfTruckee.gov.
