Meet New Member: The Andrews Law Firm, PC

The Truckee Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome New Member, The Andrews Law Firm, PC. Elaine Andrews has spent more than 30 years helping families protect their futures through thoughtful estate planning. She began her practice in 1992 and founded The Andrews Law Firm in Petaluma soon after, later relocating to Truckee in 2010 to serve the Tahoe region and clients across Northern California.

Her work centers on “Bulletproof Estate Planning,” a proactive approach inspired by a case in which a client lost their entire estate due to wrongful conservatorship. That experience shaped her commitment to helping families put strong protections in place.

Elaine became a State Bar of California Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law in 2015 and is the author of Fifty Excuses (Not) to Do Bulletproof Estate Planning. Today, The Andrews Law Firm provides estate planning, trust administration, and probate services, with support from Associate Attorney Kenneth D. Meyer and Paralegal Aimee Fuzsard Becker.

The firm recently purchased and moved into a restored historic building in downtown Truckee at 10270 Donner Pass Road. They currently have one office space available for rent. For details, contact paralegal@theandrewslawfirm.net. Please read more about The Andrews Law Firm on Truckee.com.

Good Morning Truckee: Wolves in the Sierra

Tuesday, April 21, 2026 | 8:00 - 9:30 a.m.

Join us on April 21 for Good Morning Truckee: Wolves in the Sierra: A Local Update. Wolves have made a rare and notable return to the Sierra Nevada, and their presence is raising important questions for our region. Join us for a timely and informative conversation about what this means for our community, environment, and local industries.

Our featured speaker, Rick Roberti, representing the California Cattlemen’s Association, will share firsthand insights from Sierra County, where wolves have had a direct impact on ranching operations and rural life. This on-the-ground perspective will provide valuable context on the challenges, realities, and ongoing efforts to navigate coexistence.

We’ll also hear from students at Sierra High School, who have been closely following the story of wolves in our region. They’ll present their original documentary—previously featured at a wildlife film festival—offering a unique and thoughtful look at this evolving issue through the eyes of the next generation.

Check out the Spring 2026 Issue of Our Truckee Magazine!

If you didn't receive a copy of our Truckee Magazine, Connections Quarterly, Spring 2026 in the mail, you can pick one up at Truckee-Tahoe Airport, the Town of Truckee entry, the Truckee Train Depot, Office Boss in the Gateway Center, magazine racks downtown, or you can view it online.

This issue celebrates the season and our community. We explore why spring runoff matters, highlight local wine spots, and share fun adult activities besides our usual outside playground (which will end sooner than we wish for spring skiing). We also have an update on the great work that the Tahoe-Truckee Climate Transformation Alliance is doing for its push toward regional carbon neutrality by 2045, etiquette for trail use, and much more.

Truckee's 4th of July Parade Plans Are Underway!

We are excited to announce that planning is underway for the Annual Truckee 4th of July Parade, returning this year as part of a full day of community celebrations. This year’s parade will hold special significance as the nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.

Although the anniversary is a nation-wide event, Truckee’s celebration will remain focused on what makes the town so special: neighbors coming together, local organizations showing their pride, and families lining the streets to celebrate community traditions.

We are looking for Sponsors to help us produce this beloved event and we're already getting Parade Entry Registrations - a fun way to showcase your organization in front of 14,000 spectators and have fun doing it.
