If you are putting your mail, especially any of your checks, in the blue post office boxes outside of an actual post office, beware. There has been a rash of thefts lately. The criminals lift your mail, then whitewash the checks and use mobile deposit apps to deposit into their fraudulent account names.
We know of several of these instances that have occurred lately. One of the insurance companies we work with had a check they were mailing to us for a little over $400 stolen, altered and processed for over $22,000 in someone else's name.
Check your limits on your policy to make sure you are covered for this.

The National Crime Insurance Bureau's Hot Spots Report that was released this fall shows Colorado led the nation in 2021 with the highest overall vehicle theft rate; however, California once again held the top spot for the number of cars stolen. |

I f you have a bottle of 23-year old Pappy Van Winkle, you might be in luck. The bottle retails for about $300; however, they regularly sell for 10-times that amount on the black market. That being said, a bottle just was auctioned off at Sotheby's for over $52,000. Furthermore, Sotheby's has sold over $12,000,000 of top-end liquors during 2022.

With our $5,000 match, the house was able to raise over $14,000 this year to help support families staying at the house while their children are receiving treatment in the area.
It is really important to me to help out as many churches, schools, charities and other organizations as we can across our state and RMHCA is really close to my heart.
