Call to Action:
The WEF through it's partnership with the United Nations (UN) issued the report outlining an urgent call to action (CTA)for T&S professionals to assure a safer and more secure online environment.
The CTA draws on evolving regulatory requirements, existing principals of human rights and Enterprise Risk Management best practices to identify a comprehensive methodology for how stakeholders evaluate these risk factors. CTA detail
Highlights of this Call to Action:

Build Trust - require stakeholders to prioritize transparency, accountability and integrity in their interactions. Thus fostering among users, governments and business ethical practices and responsible use of technology.

Safeguard Gender Equality - avoid sexual abuse. Assure women, men and those not conforming to traditional binary beliefs about gender have equal access to protection from online physical and/or emotional harm.

Avoid Harm - including sexual violence and exploitation, hate speech, discrimination, information manipulation, and cyberbullying.

Ensure Security - implement robust cybersecurity to protect individuals, organizations and critical operations from cyber threats.

Protect Human Rights - including civil, political, economic, social, cultural, fundamental freedoms and protection from harm; especially including protection of children.

Mitigate Disinformation - in a manner consistent with human rights and freedom of expression.

To be blunt;
The WEF and UN are inefficient bureaucracies issuing many reports that never see the light of day. As with so many such entites, there will be years of debate before anything substantial actually occurs.
So it's probably true few care about the report. However, its the CTA that matters.
The point is this CTA means that T&S is becoming recognized as an important global endeavor. It's amazing to think that the concept did not widely exist even 5 years ago.
