Trust Issues? Infidelity? Anger?
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, our couples counselor, Barbara Donesky, LICSW, can help.

Voted as one of the three best marriage counselors in Washington, D.C., Barbara has helped hundreds of couples communicate better, heal from
old resentments and improve intimacy.

Barbara's style is warm and compassionate, but also direct and challenging when necessary. She is influenced by the work of noted couples therapist Terry Real.

Did You Know We Offer Extended Sessions?
In addition to the typical 50-minute individual therapy session, most of our therapists also offer 75-min, 90-min, and 120-minute sessions.

Longer sessions offer the opportunity to dive more deeply into challenges you’re having and examine negative patterns or themes in your life.

Let your therapist know if you’d like to schedule a longer session and our administrative team will take care of it for you.

Tip of the Month
The holidays can be a stressful time. Expectations are often high and we
can sometimes regress around certain family members.

A few things may help:
Remind yourself that you don’t have to spend every waking minute with your relatives; and steer clear of topics like politics, if that tends to lead to arguments.
