What Gives Us Power Over Death?

Greetings!

This month we will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! This is the central truth of the Christian Faith. Jesus Christ, who is God incarnate, surrendered himself unto the cross to die for our sins. His resurrection from the dead gives us power over death.

All other faiths can be summed up in works. Christianity is summed up by a gift. The gift of salvation made possible through Jesus Christ and His resurrection.

Without the resurrection, we would have no basis for hope. No basis for prayer. No basis for power. No basis for healing. No basis for faith. No basis for love. No basis for salvation. No basis for victory.

Jesus Christ resurrection defeated the curse of death and gave us life eternally.

This month I challenge you to ask yourself this question, “Is Jesus getting what He died for?” Because He died and resurrected, we get all these benefits that I listed above. But, is Jesus, in turn, getting what he died for from you?

He died to set you free. Are you free?

He died so that you may have life. Are you living a life worthy of this gift?

He died so that Satan would not have dominion over you. Are you walking in the ways of the world?

He died for all the sins of humanity. Have you accepted this free gift of salvation?

Christ’s love cost Him everything. Are you offering Christ that which cost you something?

Are you giving Him your best or your leftovers?

In this Easter season, commit to live a life that glorifies God. A life worthy to be called a child of the King.

Until next time,

Are you in a season of change? If so, can I pray for you? Email me here.
