Greetings!

Happy Fourth of July! We still live in the greatest country on this planet. While we may not agree on all sides of the table, our freedom cannot be taken for granted. It is in this nation, that we still have the freedom to worship Jesus Christ.

The recent events on the world stage really have me looking to the sky for the return of Jesus Christ. It was Billy Graham that once said, “The newspaper reads just like the Bible. The newspaper tells you what is happening, and the Bible tells you what it means.” The current news headlines read like the pages of Matthew Chapter 24. We regularly quote that “you will hear of wars and rumors of wars but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.”

While many focus on these passages when there is turmoil or war, we need not forget the whole Book. We are living in the last days or what David Jeremiah calls “the time of the end”. Just like Peter reminded the early church, let me remind us of what Joel says about the last days. “I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.”

I believe that we are in the beginning of this outpouring. We are seeing gifts of the Holy Spirit being manifest in our church. Our service just yesterday had significant revelation from the Holy Spirit and worship in Spirit and Truth.

I believe there is much more to come for the Church in these last days. I am believing for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit within the Church. I am believing for saints to be endued with power from on High! In these times that we are living in we need the Holy Spirit’s power in order to live a righteous life. The Lord is coming back for a Church without spot or blemish.

I pray that you open your heart today to the Holy Spirit and that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the Day of Christ Jesus!
