AARP Tax-Aide Appointments
BSAC is pleased to once again partner with AARP Tax-Aide to offer free tax preparation to older adults in our community.
Appointments are still available by calling 360-733-4030 ext 1017 Monday-Friday between 9am-4pm or stop by the BSAC front desk to schedule your appointment.
Paperwork is available at the BSAC front desk and should be picked up prior to your appointment.

Try Something new in 2023
Longevity Stick
Join BSAC volunteers and other members for this free and fun fitness class. Longevity Stick is a low-impact exercise using a one-inch dowel in a series of movements designed to improve balance, flexibility and strength. In person classes are small and welcoming! Give longevity stick a try today!

Beginning Ukulele Classes
The January class was so fun we are offering more classes! Ukulele's are available to use in class or bring your own. Sign- up by calling BSAC 360.733.4030 ext. 1017

Beginning Tap Dancing Class

Join senior steppers George & Maryan for an introduction to tap dancing. This fun class will build your confidence to join the BSAC Senior Steppers who meet each Monday and Friday. Shoes may be provided depending on availability. Call BSAC at 360.733.4030 ext. 1017 to sign up.

The Rhythm Band

This seven-member band will take you back in time with songs from the golden oldies.
Performing Thursday, January 26th at 12:30pm in the BSAC coffee bar.

Not to be confused with BSAC's rhythm band which jams each Thursday at 10:30am and is open to all BSAC members!

 "Love Potion #9 Valentines Dance" on Friday, February 10, 1:30–3:00 pm

The dance tunes will be provided by the BSAC house band, High Tide — making good memories, playing songs you know by heart. The band will be in 'party' dress, and we encourage you to dress up for the occasion.

This event is open to the public, bring a friend, grandchild, neighbor or your sweetheart dance the afternoon away!

Photo booth and cookies will be provided.

We invite you to join us to view and discuss selected TED Talks that will facilitate discourse on important subjects. They serve as a great jumping-off point for discussion and sharing of ideas, and we welcome suggestions for topics to explore together. Join us!

Each viewing will feature a different topic from which two TED talks will be viewed and discussed. Second Friday of each month, 1-3pm at BSAC, and fourth Friday of each month, 1-3pm on Zoom.

Zumba Gold is for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves at a lower intensity. The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion, and coordination.

Looking for more help with Zoom, your cell phone or laptop? BSAC Tech Help Volunteers are ready to help get you started. Simply reply to this email and we will help you one-on-one support.

For some virtual programs, it is best to have a camera and microphone so you can be seen and heard for discussion and questions. Most laptops, smartphones, and tablets have them built-in. You can also participate without a camera or mic, which will work for the exercise programs.

Community Events & Resources
Senior Community Meals
Senior Community Meals are back in-person at BSAC five days a week, Monday through Friday, served from 11:30am to 12:30pm. A different meal will be served each day and there will also be a vegetarian option. Meals are also available to-go if you prefer.
