This week at Tsimane brought another unforgettable fly-fishing adventure!

We had the pleasure of hosting six passionate anglers from South Africa and Canada, and the week couldn’t have been better. With stable weather and perfect river conditions, our guests enjoyed long, comfortable days on the water filled with nonstop action.

Golden dorados were the stars of the show, with plenty of strong mid-sized fish landed and a few true giants that kept everyone’s adrenaline pumping. The highlight for many was chasing pacúes and yatoranas on dry flies, imitating fruits and leaves falling from the jungle canopy — a truly spectacular surface experience that never gets old.

From the first cast to the last evening around the fire, it was a week packed with energy, excitement, and shared passion for wild fly fishing in the Bolivian Amazon.

September 19 - 26, 2025

This week at Sécure Lodge, we had the pleasure of hosting six guests, all joining us from the United States.

The weather treated us well, with consistently warm days and nights that created excellent fishing conditions throughout the week. Our anglers enjoyed action across all the beats — from the upper and lower sections of the main river to the smaller creeks — with opportunities to target dorado of all sizes.

Topwater fishing was especially exciting, with plenty of golden dorados exploding on surface flies and a strong presence of yatoranas adding to the fun. As water temperatures rose, the pacú activity went through the roof, providing thrilling surface strikes and unforgettable moments with these powerful jungle fish on classic pacú streamers.

The highlight of the week came with a magnificent 17-pound dorado, a fitting reward for an incredible week of adventure, camaraderie, and world-class fishing in the Bolivian Amazon.

Last week at Tsimane was truly special.

We had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful couple who reserved the entire lodge to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary — and what a celebration it was!

They enjoyed an unforgettable week immersed in nature, surrounded by spectacular birdlife (a shared passion of theirs) and exceptional fishing for dorado, pacú, and yatorana across all our rivers. The weather couldn’t have been better, providing perfect conditions and great fishing every single day.

It was a magical experience filled with adventure, wildlife, and the pure spirit of the Bolivian jungle — truly the perfect way to celebrate twenty years of love and shared adventures.
