Oct. 03 - 10, 2025

For this week, Sécure Lodge welcomed a wonderful group of four guests — a lovely couple from California, Claudio and Anna, and two passionate anglers from Bolivia, Bianca and Maria Fernanda.

The week began with hot, sunny weather, offering classic jungle fishing conditions.

Midweek, a heavy upstream rain brought a gradual rise in water levels, setting the stage for spectacular action. As the river colored and swelled, our guests enjoyed incredible opportunities to target dorados of all sizes in tailouts and shallow runs.

During the last three days, as the water settled and temperatures stabilized, the fishing improved steadily — a hallmark of post-rain magic at Sécure. The group experienced unforgettable moments on both creeks, landing powerful pacúes on topwater flies, connecting with dorados on signature “black plate” streamers, and celebrating golden trophies over 15 pounds.

It was a week filled with energy, laughter, and world-class jungle fishing — the perfect prelude to the season’s grand finale.

Agua Negra Lodge

Oct. 03 - 10, 2025

This week at Agua Negra, we had the pleasure of welcoming our dear friend and longtime guest Curt Hamby, who has been sharing jungle adventures with us for many years. On his fourth visit to Tsimane, Curt returned with an incredible group of friends — Jim and Wendy, along with Rafael and Bomber, who traveled all the way from the United States for this unforgettable experience.

The fishing was simply outstanding. We established three different camps along the Agua Negra, each delivering excellent results and spectacular moments on the water. The Chimoro River also rewarded us with some of the week’s most exciting sessions — from short hikes to extended treks deep into untouched jungle, where crystal-clear waters offered exceptional fishing and breathtaking scenery.

Throughout the week, everyone landed impressive dorado on floating flies, along with energetic yatorana and powerful pacú, making this another truly memorable chapter of fishing, friendship, and adventure in the heart of the Bolivian Amazon.

Pluma Lodge

This week at Tsimanes Pluma Lodge, we had the pleasure of hosting two passionate anglers from the United States, Darrell and John, for an exclusive and truly personalized fishing adventure.

With the Ambaibo River in perfect shape and ideal weather throughout the week, the jungle delivered outstanding action. Both guests landed two remarkable trophy dorados each, moments that will stay with them forever.

Though it was an intimate group, the experience was nothing short of extraordinary — filled with thrilling strikes, golden flashes, and the unmatched beauty of the Bolivian wilderness.

Tsimane once again proved that even in a quiet week, the river never stops surprising us.
