Wesley Woods Special Offering
For more than 45 years, the churches of The North Georgia Conference of The UMC have received the Mother’s Day Offering for Wesley Woods. This generous support funds financial assistance for meals and housing to residents who have the gift of a long life but may have outlived their resources. In addition, the Mother's Day offering also supports on-site chaplains and an innovative wellness program. This special offering is normally taken on Mother’s Day but was delayed due to the pandemic to August 30.

Through your faithful Faith Promise giving, the missions committee has already contributed to the Wesley Woods Special Offering. If you would like to send an additional offering, please send it to the church office and put "Wesley Woods" in the memo line. You can find out more information about Wesley Woods, click on the logo.
Connect With Your Church Online
Online Opportunities For You to Stay Connected
Whether it is a word from our pastors, a Sunday morning worship service, a children's Sunday School lesson, or an online meet-up with our youth, you can find connections and inspiration online for these troubled times. Go to www.tuckerfirst.org and see all the opportunities available.
Each Tuesday at noon, Pastor Gerald will provide a devotion as well as general church information, prayer, and in-home activities suggestions.
You do not have to be a member of Facebook or the church Facebook page to view the Facebook Live event each Thursday at noon with Pastor Anne.

Church Pictorial Directory Update
As is the case with many other companies, the company that is producing our church pictorial directory has been deeply affected by the pandemic and our directory has been delayed. However, progress is being made and we are hoping for production and the finished directory soon.

In the meantime, we are pursuing digital options. Please stay tuned for future communication on this. If you have any questions, please contact Cindy Petersiel at cpetersiel@tfumc.org.
Be a Tucker First Prayer Warrior
“I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you my prayers.”
Ephesians 1:16.

Our Intercessory Prayer Team is a dedicated group of individuals who lift up prayer requests for the church, its people, loved ones, and our community. If you feel called to extend your prayers in this way, we invite you to join this vital ministry (no physical meeting required-prayer requests are emailed each week). If you are interested, please contact Stephanie Shanholtzer at sshanholtzer@tfumc.org.
“For such a time as this” the Music and Arts Ministry at Tucker First UMC is committed to continue making music that honors and worships God. We just have to do it differently!

For the past several months, Tom Moore, Tucker First Director of Music & Arts, has shared with many of our musicians that we need not focus on what we can’t do, but on what we can do! When we think and act creatively, there’s a lot that we can do together. Here are some opportunities that might interest you:

  • Be a part of a virtual choir!
  • Sing as part of a small ensemble (3-4 people)
  • Play or sing in The Table worship - modern worship
  • Help sing songs for Sunday morning videos.
  • Participate as a musician in the traditional worship videos.
  • Play handbells!

To find out more about our Music and Arts Ministry and ways to participate, click on the graphic above or contact Tom Moore, Director of Music & Arts at tom_moore@tfumc.org.
Meal Train for Mimi Sanders
Mimi Sanders is experiencing extreme back pain that may require surgery. As we all know, Mike and Mimi are always the first to offer to prepare a meal, no matter if it is for two people or 200. Now it is our turn to return the favor! Let's help them out by making meal time one less thing to have to think about. Please sign up to bring a meal to the Sanders family. Both Erin and Maggie are home with Mike and Mimi so prepare for four people. Thanks for helping out!

This free program will focus on how you can help eradicate the commercial sexual exploitation of children in our communities. The recent news of “Operation Not Forgotten” where forty children were rescued in Georgia from child traffickers makes this community event even more timely. No one person, congregation or denomination can do everything. Each of us can do something to help in the fight!
