The Mashantucket Pequot Museum
and Research Center

Join us to learn about the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation who lived here long, long before us. The Museum is a major resource on the histories and cultures of Native Americans in the Northeast and on the region’s rich natural history.
Multisensory dioramas and exhibits introduce visitors to the history of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe and the natural and cultural history of the Eastern Woodlands.
Films and videos, interactive programs, archival materials, ethnographic and archaeological collections, commissioned art, and traditional crafts by Native artisans are featured in the exhibits.
It takes about two hours to tour the facility.
We will have tour docents.

GETTING THERE
Everyone drives or carpools on their own.
We'll send the list of all the Y’s Men (and guests/family) to those who have signed up so you can see with whom you might ask to share or offer a ride.
It takes about 2 hours to drive to Mashantucket, CT (Foxwoods Resort).
The tour starts at 10:30 a.m. so please depart Westport/Weston no later than 8:30 a.m. If you're a slow driver please leave earlier.
If you get a speeding ticket because you left late
we might start a go-fund-me page, but no guarantees.

LUNCH
After the tour there is no plan for a group lunch. You can eat lunch at the Museum or take a 5-minute drive to Foxwoods Casino/Resort where there's a wide variety of restaurants from food courts to fine dining.
If you dine for an hour, you should be back in Westport by 4:00 p.m.
But if you decide to hit the casinos who knows when you will get back.
