OPTION 1: Use the City’s Residential Tree Limb Collection in your neighborhood starting Feb. 25 and Mar. 15 depending on your location.  The City is divided into 2 groups: a green group and a yellow group. It will take a few weeks to work our way through each of these groups, so please be patient with crews. The green group will start pickup February 25. The yellow group will start pickup on March 15.  No bundling needed. No charge. Just move the limbs as close as you can to the street without blocking the sidewalk or the street. City crews cannot enter your private property to pick up limbs. OPTION 2: Cut and bundle limbs for curbside pickup on your regular trash pickup day, starting this week (week of 2/22) and continuing on your regular pickup day each week. Each week you can place up to 7 extra items outside your trash cart (including limbs): Bundles must be tied, no more than 4 ft. long, no more than 50 lbs. OPTION 3: Hire a private contractor/landscaper: Hire a private contractor/landscaper to assist you, at your own expense.

TRASH Everyone is back on their regular trash-only schedule starting this week (week of February 22). Trash pickup includes your green cart and 7 additional trash items on your regular trash day. RECYCLING Recycling collection is back on schedule the week of March 1, beginning with Week A. Don't know if you are Week A or Week B for recycling? See an alphabetical list by street here. Please do not put out your blue recycling cart on the curb until the regular schedule resumes. If your recycling cannot wait, here are drop-off locations: Williamson County residents: The Williamson County Recycling Center (in Hutto will accept Wilco residents’ recycling during all business hours. Travis County residents: The City of Austin’s Recycle and Reuse Drop-off Center (serves all residents of Travis County. At this time, they are doing contactless pickup only) We encourage you to check these centers for specifics on fees, hours, what is allowed and any other specifications.

Questions/concerns about how the recent winter storm could impact water bills? Will there be credit or adjustments for leaks, winter sewer averaging and water rates? To be discussed at Thursday’s City Council Meeting. Update will be included in the February 26 newsletter. Meanwhile, keep winter storm-related plumbing repair receipts. As we work to rebuild, consider using this self-reporting form created by the Texas Division of Emergency Management to keep track of damage caused by the winter storm. The President approved a major disaster declaration that included our area. Individuals and business owners who sustained losses in Williamson County and Travis County can begin applying for assistance from FEMA by registering here or by calling 1-800-621-3362 or 1-800-462-7585 TTY. FEMA assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses and other programs to help residents to recover from the effects of the disaster.
