Protecting the Vote Together:
Guidance for the Midterms

Election officials work hard to make sure elections run smoothly, but they can’t do it alone.

We all have a role to play in keeping our elections free and fair. Voting is the greatest power most Americans have and it is almost always a positive and rewarding experience. Yet, some voters may encounter challenges this November.

If voters keep informed, get involved, speak out and vote, they can have a huge impact in supporting election officials. Making a plan to vote, knowing what to expect and understanding what to do if something goes wrong are critically important for voters right now.

Join us on Zoom on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 1 p.m. EDT for a webinar discussing ways voters can support election officials and each other this election year and introducing Protect Your Vote: A Citizen’s Guide.

Pam Fessler — an NPR News editor and correspondent for more than 28 years and a TEG team advisor — developed this guide to provide concrete steps and resources for citizens to help protect the vote and support election officials, so they don’t have to go it alone.

We've developed print, template and digital versions of the guide to reach as many voters and communities as possible.

Pam is hosting Tuesday's webinar and her guests will be:

Dawn Kruger
Community and Media Relations Coordinator Contra Costa County Clerk-Recorder Elections Department

Adam Ambrogi
Chief of External Affairs for the
League of Women Voters

Many of the practical takeaways from this conversation will benefit individual voters, community members and American citizens, plus organizations that want to help support elections and election workers while protecting the vote, so we encourage you to spread the word among your networks.

See you on Tuesday!
