White Pony Express is Celebrating 10 Years with the Lafayette Chamber!
White Pony Express rescues fresh, healthy surplus food and delivers it, free of charge, to neighbors in need across Contra Costa County. Founded in 2013 by Dr. Carol Weyland Conner, WPE works alongside more than 2,000 volunteers, 100 food donors, and 144 partner agencies to recover the equivalent of 13,000 meals every day.
"We see hunger as a logistics problem, not a scarcity problem, and believe, as our founder says, that at its core this is a work of love. For ten years, the Lafayette Chamber has been a true partner in this work, connecting us with local businesses, generous neighbors, and friends who see one human family and believe when one person moves forward, we all do. We are deeply grateful for this community and warmly invite you to join us as a volunteer, food donor, or supporter."
