WHY I AM A CONSERVATIVE
There is a fight that started in the Garden of Eden. It is a fight against light and darkness. God created light, but Satan brought the darkness of sin into the garden, and Adam and Even fell for his trap of deception.
Deception is at an all time high. Who is being deceived? All that listen to the voice of Satan are deceived. He has been speaking through his “false prophets” since time began. How do you know the voice of a false prophet? It will always oppose what the bible says. It will twist the truth of God’s word and make it a lie.
Satan always uses “hath God said” when he speaks. For instance, “hath God said that you can’t have sex outside of marriage? You know it is okay.” Or, "You are a God yourself. You make your own rules. You rule your own universe. You don’t have to listen to anyone else, especially God.”
The schools are full of teachers that teach humanism which puts man on the throne instead of God. Situational ethics that allow children from grade school through college to make choices based on “how it feels” instead of Godly principles being taught as they were in the early formation of our country, the modern school has produced two generations of graduates that have been trained to be their own God. The only way these two generations received any truth biblically is if the parents took them to church. But going to Church has been looked upon as being a “goody two shoes” or a bunch of judgmental hypocrites, or a sign of weakness. When there are no absolutes, anything goes. The scriptures tell us in Romans that those that go this route are without excuse.
That brings me to my subject, of why I am a conservative. I am not just a Christian, but I am a conservative Christian who believes in a Holy God that hates sin. I cannot align myself with any group that goes against the Word of God. I made a choice to go with God many years ago, and the Bible is the standard I live by. Yes, I have made a lot of mistakes, but I know there is a loving God that forgives me. I make all of my choices physically, spiritually, politically and financially based on this statement: “What would Jesus do?” If I cannot honestly say that Jesus would do something, then I must make the choice not to do it either.
Many churches have let the high standard of Biblical principles slip out the door and have incorporated the liberal principles of the world standards. They have promoted “women’s rights” such as abortion and homosexuality. These churches have become nothing more than a social club. They do not represent Christ of the Bible and one day they will stand before God. I pray they repent before it is too late.
Are you a conservative? Do you go along with the world standards on abortion and homosexuality and sin or do you go with a holy God that says these things are wrong? We are not puppets where God pulls our string. He shows us the truth through His Word and gives us the choice to go with it or turn from it. I see the day of His return coming very soon, and I pray that the choice that you make will be the right one. It cannot be both ways.
This is why I am a conservative.
