   Women's Empowerment Conference 

Grab a few friends or colleagues and register for the first annual Women's Empowerment Conference, sponsored by the East Bay Chamber of Commerce on September 28th in Seekonk, MA.

 Take advantage of the opportunity to meet and network with other like-minded women who are seeking to take charge of their lives! Our featured speaker is Melissa Murray, of the DStrong Foundation, who will speak about having resilience during life's difficult times. A choice of workshops will also be offered on getting home and calendar organized, and how to instill greater creativity and innovation in your life. Start the day with a continental breakfast and enjoy a delicious lunch 
while getting great tips on business etiquette from Judith Bowman, of Protocol Consultants.

Monthly Mingle at Mt. Hope Farm 

The East Bay Chamber of Commerce is hosting its September Monthly Mingle at The Mt. Hope Farm.

Wednesday, Sept 12th , from 5:30 - 7 p.m.
$10 to attend ($5 for Chamber Members)
Guest Speaker: Alayne White, Alayne White Spas

Monthly Mingle events are fun, affordable ways to network with fellow Chamber members and their guests, and to get a view inside the workings of a fellow member's business. Sign up for this monthly opportunity to break the ice, put names with faces, chat, exchange business cards and gain new allies in the local business community.

Merchant Fair at Roger Williams University

Roger Williams University along with the East Bay Chamber and the Bristol Merchants Association is pleased to announce the return of the RWU Merchant Fair.  We are excited to welcome merchants who can showcase their business to RWU's students

Time:      11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Rain Location: Should we have inclement weather, the event will move into the Campus Recreation Center

You can sell your product or just showcase, it is up to you!

People's Credit Union Announces Appointment of Barry Dunn,
Business Loan Manager

People's Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Barry Dunn to the position of Business Loan Manager. Windmill Hill Golf Course: Annual Charity Golf Tournament

The proceeds from this Texas Scramble will be held on Saturday, August 18th, 2018 and benefit the American Cancer Society and a Mt. Hope High School Graduating  Senior.

  Warren Street Festival Sunday Aug 19th 1 - 5 pm

Volunteers   will be approaching merchants on Main St., Child St. and Market Street, as well as the Cutler Mill area, telling them about what's happening, asking them if they would like a free flower planter (a decorative small barrel, for outside their door, and asking them to post the poster on their door, sweep the sidewalk in front of their shop free of any debris on that day and bring 2-3 balloons to put outside their door make it festive.  If you are interested in participating, or helping with this project please contact Elizabeth O'Connell at eoconnell401@gmail.com 
   The Rhode Island Manufacturers' Association (RIMA) is coming to Warren with the RIMA Roadshow

This event is planned for Thursday September 13 th at 7:30AM at the WaterRower event space in their new office building.  The RIMA Roadshow will take place in every city and town in RI to get the message out that there are programs designed to support economic growth which local businesses can access.  The very first RIMA Roadshow will take place in Warren and we want to be sure it is a huge success for local businesses; especially our manufacturers!!
