Sky Posse Palo Alto

Dear Friends,

On January 28, the City of Palo Alto provided a Status Update on City of Palo Alto Appeal of the SFO Development Plan Approval.

The City’s detailed update shares the timeline and correspondence related to its appeal of the SFO FEIR and the upcoming San Francisco Board of Supervisors Hearing on Tuesday February 3, 2026 at 3 PM

The Board of Supervisors is a legislative branch of the City and County of San Francisco and it can decide on whether to uphold San Francisco's Planning Commission November 20th certification of SFO’s Development Plan FEIR, or to return the project to San Francisco’s Planning Department for additional review. Per the City of Palo Alto’s correspondence, the City remains open to a continuance of the February 3 hearing to allow time to discuss with SFO Management a resolution without the appeal hearing. So far we have not heard of a continuance. Please see our submission today to the Board of Supervisors.
