T he Louisiana Culturepreneur Fund - a partnership of the Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation, the Louisiana Small Business Development Center, Foundation for Louisiana and Capital One - is a helping hand to those who keep our culture alive. If you are an individual or small business in the arts
, cultural, music, culinary or creative industries located in the Greater New Orleans and Acadiana areas, the Fund offers accessible capital and business training. Loan funds can be used in many ways to support your business - from marketing and advertising to purchasing equipment and supplies, to building your capacity to create long-term projects.

o help qualify, creatives should attend "Culture-Up," a series of training "boot camps" that will deepen  knowledge of cultural entrepreneurship. These workshops begin Aug. 1 and will run in both August and October. Workshops include: "Small Business Money Know-How," "Creating Profits from Passion," and "Marketing Intensive for Small Businesses in the Creative Industries".

NOTE: Attendees of the second and third workshops must be Small and Emerging Business Development (SEBD) certified prior to attending sessions through the Louisiana Department of Economic Development.
