STUDY
“Study this book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord you God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:8-9

Reassurance is found in knowing that, “God is with you wherever you go”. Or, perhaps, under our current circumstances, God is with us wherever we don’t go. The not going places has given us more time to study the word of God. Meditating on God’s word strengthens our relationship with Him. The stronger our relationship is with God, the better we can withstand all the craziness of this world. No wonder Jesus warned us about the evils of this world. He also taught us that His kingdom is not of this world. How important it is to make the most of this “cooped up” time studying God’s word! This is a good time to strengthen our faith.

God has surely blessed us with the opportunities to study His word with others through online options. We continue to have opportunities to study His word through old-fashioned print options as well. We have God’s message available through various TV programs. God’s word continues to reach each of us and everyone around the world despite physical limitations. Paul writes, “When I came to the city of Troas to preach the Good News of Christ, the Lord opened a door of opportunity for me.” (2 Cor. 2-12). Despite everything going on around us, it appears that God has “opened a door of opportunity” for us as well. Clearly, God’s love has no limits and no boundaries.

Praise God for His always being with us; no matter what, where, when, how or why. Whether we are going or waiting, God is always with us. Precious Lord,

Thank you for always being with us no matter what our circumstances may be. Thank for helping us to be strong and courageous. Most of all, thank you for your word that sustains us. Amen
