UNITED
“But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.”
Ephesians 2:4-7
United with Christ Jesus! How wonderful that would be!
As we approach what the forefathers of this country intended as a peaceful transition of power, may we be reminded that Almighty God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit should be at the center of our hearts, minds and strength; alone. No earthly human being has the power, mercy and love that this country needs to heal from whatever wounds there may be and restore us to peace amongst ourselves.
United with Christ Jesus!
If only more people would have looked to Christ a short time ago. If only more people would look to Christ now and to continue to do so in the future. What a wonderful difference there would be amongst all people in this country.
United with Christ Jesus!
May all the people in this country strive to seek the love, forgiveness and peace that comes from Christ alone. That is the best way, the only true way, that this country can continue to function at its best.
Gracious God,
Hear our prayers for our country. May the hearts of unbelievers be turned to you. May the hearts of those who confess to be believers, but fall short, regain the faith that you desire them to have. May the hearts of all people be open to receive your love and give your love to everyone, everywhere and always. Amen.
