THE GODHOOD OF JESUS – LESSON 6
CONCLUSION: GOD IS IN ME
We have conclusively proven that Jesus is God, as is also the Father and Holy Spirit. God’s name Elohim is a full expression of the Godhead trinity. How does that impact our life and our being (our self) as a born-again believer?
We looked at Jesus’ own words in John 14:20 as He said, “…ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye (are) in me, and I (am) in you.” So, the total trinity is in me and you. I am in Jesus and Jesus is in me. Jesus is in the Father, so since He is in Father, so also am I in Father through Jesus, and the Father is in me through Jesus. Holy Spirit likewise dwells in me and I in Holy Spirit whom Jesus imparted into me from Father.
Galatians 2:20 (NKJV) says it well, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God (Jesus), who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Now that God lives in us through Christ, we become God’s spokesmen on this earth. II Corinthians 5:20 says, “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ…”. An ambassador is the official spokesman for his “head of state,” in this case, Jesus. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Whatever we speak carries the weight of spiritual power with it; all power was given to Jesus. Our spoken words as His ambassador carries all His power with it. That is why we must guard our words and choose them very carefully.
So, what are we to do with this power from Jesus who abides within us? Jesus told us that we are to do His works on this earth. In John 14:12 He says, “He that believeth on Me, the works that I do (and have done) shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do, because I go (ascend) unto my Father.” Jesus is no longer on earth to do the works; it is now my job and your job. What works did Jesus do while down here? He healed the sick and diseased, restored limbs (body parts), cast out demons, raised the dead, and preached the gospel. He has already done it; now it is our turn.
What we do is done in His name with His power working through us. The glory belongs to the Father and the Son, and not to us. However, we must now be about His work.
Have you (by His name and power) healed the sick? How many demons have you cast out? Have you raised the dead? If not, why not? Don’t you believe?
The “church” is full of what I call “unbelieving believers.” They are “believers” because they have been born again. They are also “unbelievers” because they do not truly believe the entire Bible. They do not believe all these works can be done through them. If they really believed it, they would be healing diseases, casting out demons and raising the dead as well as telling others of the gospel of the kingdom of heaven and its Christ.
God lives in you, so get to work. Believe what He said. Believe it; do it.
If you feel your faith is not strong enough, ask Holy Spirit to help you and give boldness to step into it. Faith is like a muscle, to gain strength, it must be used. If you seem to fail in the effort, just keep trying. The more you “try” your faith, the stronger it will get. “Not trying” will keep you weak. Take courage; He will help you.

PRAYERS PRAYED IN FAITH CHANGE THINGS
Prayer changes things. That is a very powerful statement. Do you believe it? It will determine whether you receive. Praying with no faith will cancel the prayer.
So, how do we know how to pray? What are we to say? What if I pray wrong? Those are timeless questions that many ask. The easiest answer is this, ask God what to pray for and then He will impress upon your spirit what to pray for. Prayer simply put is talking to God.
So, how do you pray? First of all, you find a promise for the problem. The bible is full of promises, but you may just have to dig a little to find them. A good place to start is in the book of Proverbs. So, what is a Proverb? A good definition of a Proverb would be “advice for Godly living”.
As you read the word of God, it speaks to your spirit. Since the Holy Spirit is the author of all scripture then we know all scripture it is spiritual. Without the Spirit of God in us we can never understand the Word of God. As you read, you will see and understand many Godly things. The written word is the Greek word Logos, but when it speaks to you directly it becomes the Greek word Rhema.
Once you find a promise that speaks to you directly, about to the problem, then pray the scripture. For instance, if you need healing then you find scriptures that deal with healing such Psalm 103:3 that says “who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases.” You put your name in the scripture (who forget all Helen’s iniquities and healeth all Helen’s diseases) and pray it out loud. It is as It is simple as that. Find a Bible that has a good dictionary within it and a concordance.
You can never go wrong when scripture is used in prayer. It brings life to any situation. It will require time and effort. Most of the time when I pray, I pray the scriptures because they are God’s promises to God’s people. God may allow us to go through a trial so we can learn the way to deal with it as we search the scriptures.
Prayer definitely changes things, but you must put faith into your prayer. Satan is a legalist my friends, so if you pray without faith nothing will happen. How do I know this? James 1:6 tells us to ask in faith, nothing wavering. Wavering is doubt. Wavering is lack of faith. Vs. 7 says that you will not receive anything if you waver. That is being double-minded. You can’t have it both ways. You must put faith into your prayers to bring them to pass. After you pray NEVER DOUBT! Every promise of God is yours, but you must believe and act on them. I suggest that you find the promises and write them down so that when a problem comes up you have the “ammunition” to fight with. Prayers prayed in faith change things!

APOSTLE PAT MURRAY
JANUARY 11, 2021
Today if you’re growing weary while waiting for a promise of God to be realized; Just remember the story of Abraham and Sarah. Even 10 long years after God had promised Abraham that he would be a father; His wife Sarah was still barren and the crib still remained empty. Now not only was there no baby but there actually was not even a glimmer of hope that Sarah may be close to birthing a child. This account which many of us can relate to shows us how Abraham and Sarah agonized over what they considered to be a broken promise of a child coming to them in their old age. The Bible tells us how they even tried to “help God out”; Which of course most always proves to be totally disastrous. So you just continue in faith believing that God will do exactly what He said He would do; Even when His divine timing does not necessarily coincide with your human timeline. Just stop underestimating and second guessing God’s perfect plan and His purpose for His promise to you. Now’s the time for you to sit tight, keep the faith and then...Patiently wait with hope in your heart and with great expectation of God’s supernatural ability to do all things well.
