In Matthew 25 1-13 we are told about ten virgins. Jesus compares them with the kingdom of heaven.  “Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.”
You will notice that they both had lamps. In scripture, a lamp is often referred to as the Word of God. In Psalm 119:105 it says, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”  In studying this parable, it would indicate that the virgins all had the “word” with them. They were given equal opportunity to all have the word. Yet, five were foolish. The foolish ones took their lamps, but had no oil, which is indicative of the Holy Spirit.
This shows us that you can have the word of God, but not be saved. There are many that are religious, even using Bibles to assert their cause, but they have never been born again. The foolish virgins had the lamp, which is the word, but no oil. We can be religious, but not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Without the Holy Spirit indwelling a person, we are empty vessels that can give off no light.
The wise virgins took their lamps (the word) and had oil in their vessels, which indicates they had the Holy Spirit within themselves. The story goes on to say that the bridegroom tarried. He didn’t come back when they expected, and they all slumbered and slept. The foolish ones and the wise ones both slept. This is indicative of the church. The Church was filled with the oil of God to begin with, but over the centuries that fire for God waned. Yes, there have been some revivals, but at this point in time the Church for the most part is lukewarm, and unrepentant.
At midnight, they heard the cry made of the bridegroom. The virgins knew the groom was coming but weren’t prepared for his “late” arrival. This indicates that God waited and waited until the time had almost run out when he sent the bridegroom to meet his bride. All of the virgins then woke up, because there was a cry of his coming. All of the virgins trimmed their lamps, which indicates they realized the importance of the Word, but only the wise virgins had the oil. The foolish ones demanded oil from the wise ones, but there was no way to share what they had. The wise said go and buy it, knowing that it was too late for the foolish ones.
This is speaking of the last days my friends. When the cry is sounded that Jesus is coming it will be too late. There will not be any “oil” for those foolish virgins that didn’t prepare. You can’t buy the free gift. While they look for a place to buy it, he will come and take the wise virgins to the marriage, and the door will be shut. Just like the door of the ark was shut for 7 days, so there will be a 7-year marriage supper with Jesus. The foolish virgins showed up and wanted in, but the Lord told them “I know you not.”  It was too late.
God has been telling us from the birth of the church to be prepared. Many put off the day of salvation, thinking they will be okay. Others are religious and think their works will get them in to heaven and by thinking that they assume that they will be okay. The truth is, without the oil in our lamps which represents salvation there is no second chance after the Lord returns. There is nothing that can be done when this happens. We must be prepared through salvation before his return and filled up with the Holy Spirit 24/7. We must be ready to meet him at any moment.
We don’t want to see anyone turned away. In this parable there was no way out, but there is a way out now before the Lord’s return. We must share Jesus Christ with everyone that we can while there is still time. We want to see all lost souls come to repentance and be filled with the Holy Spirit, so like the wise virgins they are ready when He returns.
Are you prepared? If not, today is the day to make that preparation. Sincerely repent of your sin and ask God to forgive you. Open your heart to receive that forgiveness and accept His gift of salvation before it is too late. Then your vessel will be filled with oil, and it will not burn out!

The apostle Paul spoke of tongues being a heavenly language like as angels.  I Cor. 13:1, “…I speak with the tongues of men and angels…”  He also said (I Cor. 14:18), “I thank my God, I speak in tongues more than ye all.”
Paul also wrote in I Cor. 14:39 “…forbid not to speak with tongues.”  How many churches and Pastors today forbid it? Many (most) do, and they are in direct disobedience to the bible. May God have mercy on their rebellious souls.
The first purpose of speaking with “other tongues” (languages unknown to the speaker) is as a natural physical evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is the only “for sure sign” of that infilling of Holy Ghost anointing.
The Second purpose is to receive power to be an effective witness of the gospel to the lost souls. Nobody is saved unless the Holy Spirit draws them, and this anointing brings souls to Jesus more effectively and powerfully. Remember that Peter’s first two sermons saw over eight thousand saved after he was baptized with the Holy Ghost and power.
A third purpose is seen when God wants to give a special message to the church, something akin to speaking an “oracle” of God. Three of the “gifts of the Holy Spirit” found in I Corinthians 12:4-11 are such gifts that bring God’s “now word” (Rhema). One is the gift of prophecy in which a person speaks the word in their own language by the Holy Spirit. However, the word can also be delivered in a manner which serves as a “sign” that it is of the Holy Spirit. In this manner, the “gift of tongues” (divers kinds of tongues, v. 10) gives God’s message in “another tongue” unknown to the speaker. This is followed by an interpretation given in the language of the attending church body. This is the “gift of the interpretation of tongues.”
Fourth, and the most common purpose, is the ability to pray in a manner superior to any thoughts or processes of your own natural mind. If the prayer is of praise, your praise in tongues is a more excellent praise than you could know or express in the natural.
If the prayer is a petition or supplication (Eph. 10:18), you could be praying “in the spirit” for a person or situation of which you know nothing about. The Holy Spirit knows the need and can “pray it out” through you. Miraculous interventions often occur from this although you likely will never have knowledge about it. This is important because our words are “life and death”. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and Life are in the power of the tongue.”  Jesus afterwards said that we are to speak (or ask) what we will, and it shall be done. If we do not know of a certain need, the Holy Spirit can use our tongue to speak to that need (unknown to us) in an unknown tongue and cause it to be met by our spoken word. It does not matter that we know anything about it, this is why Holy Spirit needs control of our tongue. Since the tongue is “unruly” (James 3:8), that is also why it is the sure sign that we are “Holy Ghost Baptized” because it is the evidence that we have given up our control of it to the Holy Spirit.
We will speak more on this subject tomorrow, so stay tuned.

This word was given in 2018. It is a Word that was to be heeded then and a word that needs to be heeded now.

Prophetic Word
As given to Helen Sanders
November 24, 2018

Rise up, rise up, rise up saith the Lord. For this is not the hour to be complacent. This is not the hour to sit back and watch. This is the hour of repentance, and fasting and weeping saith the Lord, for there is about to be great change saith the Lord. This is the hour that the enemy would like to overtake you and trample you down. This is the hour that you must rise up, and put on the whole armour of God and take the sword of the spirit which is the word of God and fight the fight of faith. You must be prepared for this hour saith the Lord. Yet many have been complacent in their walk and have sat back and not done what I have led them to do. They are the ones in the valley of dry bones. They are the ones with the dry spirits, and dead works. Yes, they are they ones.

Do not let this time be a time of complacency for there will be soon a time of darkness like no other. There will be a swift change and many will be caught off guard as the enemy sweeps through your land, your businesses, your homes, and you! Do not be complacent. Rise up and take your places as warriors for the most high. I have declared that this is not a time to be complacent. You must come into my war room and get your assignment and prepare yourself for this time. It is not a time of ease. It is not a time of reluctance. It is a time to take all that you have learned and put it into action. Come into my war room and learn your assignment this very hour.

Take this time to prepare yourself in spirit, soul, and body for there will be a shaking like never before. It will shake everything to the very core and all that will be left standing will be those that have fully trusted in me. Cast aside every weight of distraction that would keep you from being focused on me saith the Lord. Cast aside all doubt and fear. Cast aside all wrongly motivated plans and concentrate on me and my assignment for this hour.

Much terror is about to break forth and you must be ready. Do not make your decisions based on your circumstances but base your decisions on the leading of my Spirit. Yes there will be gross darkness but this is the time for you to rise and shine and let the glory of God be upon you to bring many out of darkness. You must, again I say must, rise up in my power and strength and go forth and do the assignment that I have called you to do. Do not look at the circumstances before you arise. Listen like you have never listened before and know that I am with you in this hour. I am with you to take you through this hour. Many lives shall be destroyed because they did not take heed and listen, but you my child, I have confidence in that you will listen and be spared of those things on the horizon. Listen, listen, listen, and rise up and go forth in my power saith the Lord. You will overcome!
