Dear SCM 2022 Delegates & Aspirants:
Second Welcome Day: Registration and Check-in teams continued to welcome arriving delegates on the R level at the PanPacific Hotel throughout the day.
Those who arrived earlier in the week explored the city and many today took a side-excursion to Vancouver Island to explore our province's capital city, Victoria and the world-famous Butchart Gardens.
Tuesday evening highlights included a performance of Bard on the Beach complete with a pre-theatre reception with Bard Founder, and our own Chevalier Christopher Gaze, OBC, KCSJ.
Daily Digest team member Deborah Meredith reports:
"Registration activity was light Tuesday morning. I talked to Philip Wright from the Ontario Commandery who was pleased to say there are four members here from Ontario. He has previously been to investitures in Ottawa and Cleveland and says if you are going to attend an SCM, this is definitely the one to do!"
Delegate Wright went on to comment on his day in Vancouver:
"Smoke had dissipated quite a bit and guests were making use of hop-on-hop-off sight seeing tours. The gift bags were very well received with various maps, vouchers, SCM elegant program brochure, SOSJ umbrella, flask, attendees list and Sovereign Order history. Our Grand Master came in quietly to register. It was a big moment for me, a brand new Knight of Grace, 2021 Vancouver Investiture."
We sincerely hope all delegates are having a wonderful visit and look forward to having you participate in tomorrow activities
