Response Needed/To Do Tasks
  • MNSAA Annual Report for High Schools, Elementary Schools and ECC Centers are due May 20th to the CSO. ECC Annual Report, Elementary Annual Report, High School Annual Reports can be found under these links.
  • Elementary Schools – You can find the Updated Standards/Indicators HERE.  Please pay close attention to Standard II – Climate – as there are several indicators that were added in December 2022. The indicators that were added are:
  • 2J – The school has a process in place to respond to student/family crises.
  • 2K – The school has a system in place to teach children to protect themselves from sexual abuse with age-appropriate information at each grade level.
  • 2L – Teachers have been informed to identify and respond to suicide indicators.
  • 2M – The school has a counseling referral system in place for school families.
  • 2N – The school has a process in place to strengthen students’ social and emotional development. 
  • Each elementary school will need indicate whether or not they have met each of the new indicators. If your school hasn’t met the indicator yet, you will need to share your plan to correct this indicator in the 2023-2024 school year on the Annual Report Form. 
  • Elementary Schools – please pay close attention to Standard X – Early Childhood Program – as there are several indicators that were added in December 2022. The indicators were rearranged and several were added to mirror the Early Childhood Accreditation Expectations. Please read through each indicator carefully on the updated Standards and Indicators form.

  • ECC Centers. You can find your Standards/Indicators HERE.
  • RDPC FREE Teacher Support. New Teachers to the State of Missouri must participate in a Beginning Teacher Assistance Program (BTAP). If you have a teacher that is in their first four years of teaching and has not participated in this program (possibly due to COVID or other circumstances) please have them sign up with the RDPC BTAP program for the 23/24 school year. They will not be able to obtain the next level of certification without this program. The RDPC also offers a Course in Purposeful Lesson Planning for teachers in their 2nd year (or beyond) who would like to improve this skill. Other free programs that are offered are Mentor training (MTDS) and Teacher Academy (for excellent teacher leaders with at least 3 years of experience). See the fliers for more details.   • MO Read, Lead, Exceed LETRS Training for ALL K-5 Educators
  • Our state is providing training to help teachers better understand the Science of Reading and the instruction that all students need to be successful readers. LETRS Training is available for ALL K-5 teachers (including private school educators). I strongly encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity. 
  • Pre-registration for Summer and Fall 2023 cohorts is now open, and we are now taking pre-registrations for year two cohorts. Nearly 2,000 teachers have already signed up for the new cohorts starting summer and fall 2023, but space is still available. All K-5 educators are invited to sign up for this amazing opportunity! 
  • Please use the following link to pre-register for the Read, Lead, Exceed LETRS Training by April 30, 2023, for cohorts beginning in July 2023.
  • Once pre-registration is complete, the district’s local Regional Professional Development Center will contact you to schedule your training dates.

  • Benedictine College offers a Master of Arts in School Leadership (MASL) and a new Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), and enrollment for 2023 is now open. The application is available here.  Courses for the M.A.T. begin June 1st. Courses for the MASL begin August 23rd. Our programs are designed to be delivered using a hybrid delivery model. The majority of course content will be completed asynchronously with online (zoom) class sessions being held approximately every other week on Wednesday evenings.  Please reach out to:

  • Benedictine College is offering a summer conference for Civics Teachers. Attendees will be provided with a $500 stipend, hotel lodging and food for the duration of the conference. Please see the links below for more information.

  • Iowa Assessments need to be completed by Friday, April 28th. All make-ups need to be completed by this time. Remember your school will need to go to the Proctoring tab and set up the Iowa Assessment or the COGAT for each grade in your building. Please call if you have any questions.
