Many schools have received information from the Missouri Information Analysis Center, a branch of the Missouri Highway Patrol, in regards to "swatting calls". Please see this attachment for guidance so you can be prepared should you receive such calls. The phone number being used to make the swatting calls is 309-233-8655.
What you should do if this occurs at your school: 1. Follow your protocols to assess threats and to initiate the appropriate response. 2. Obtain the call details and records that document the telephone number & provide the information to law enforcement.
If any school or agency receives a suspicious call, please forward the information to the MIAC at miac@mshp.dps.mo.gov.
