Response Needed/To Do Tasks
  • Contracts are due! Please make sure to send your teachers their contracts and send your own signed contract to Kerry in the School Office as soon as possible.
  • The End of Year Celebration for Principals/Deans/Directors will be held at Chappells, 323 Armour Rd. in Kansas City North on Tuesday May 9th from 4 - 6 pm. Appetizes and beverages will be provided. The invitation can be found in this link. Make sure to rsvp by Monday May 8th! We hope to see everyone there as we celebrate a wonderful year and those who are moving on to new adventures.
  • The Principal/Dean/Director Retreat will be held at the Precious Blood Renewal Center, 2120 St. Gaspar Way in Liberty Missouri on Wednesday May 31st. All are expected to be in attendance. If you are in need of an excused absence please contact Kerry in the School Office. Parking is limited so please try to carpool. The agenda for the day can be found HERE.
  • Accreditation 2023 – Thank you to St. Regis Academy, Our Lady of the Presentation, Bishop Hogan, St. John LaLande, Nativity of Mary and St. Gregory Barbarigo for hosting wonderful Accreditation visits this spring! Each school did an amazing job with preparing their School's Self Study!
  • A BIG THANK YOU to all the principals, deans, directors and teachers who were part of a visiting team to one of our 6 schools who went through accreditation this spring. Your expertise is valuable and appreciated a great deal.
  • Principals and Deans – if you are interested in talking with Ed Van Buskirk about the 10 Commandment project he shared with us at our April 18th meeting please know he is trying to reach you to discuss the program and how it would work with your school. If you want to contact him directly – you can reach him at ed@ifuloveme.org or at 816-215-1483. I know this time of the year is very busy so thank you for making time for Ed to come and meet with you to get the process started! The goal is for the plaques to be in buildings this fall. So it is important for you to talk with Ed before the end of May if possible.
  • In conjunction with PTO Today, Trend is offering a series of Tech Talk Nights on internet safety for kids and families. This free virtual event and live Q&A is hosted by one of their internet safety experts and covers a wide range of technology issues that every family is facing today. Presentations are in English and Spanish. Please share the attached information with your families.
  • K-8 Principals - The University of St. Mary has a wonderful opportunity for a 5th - 8th grade teacher who wants to earn college credit and learn more about STREAM. The program is totally paid for by a scholarship and the teacher will also receive a stipend for his/her time. More information can be found HERE. Applications can be found HERE. and the Principal Letter of Recommendation can be found HERE. Applications are due by July 1, 2023. Have your teacher reach out to me if they want more information!  
  • The 45th Annual School Health Conference will be held Friday July 21st at Children's Mercy Research Institute. This conference is for school nurses and school health professionals. Please share the attached flyer with your school health personnel. The flyer contains details about the conference and information on how to register.
