Young Professionals of Manitowoc County, in coordination with the Community Blood Center will be hosting a mobile blood drive on Thursday, March 25th from 12:00-4:00 pm at The Chamber office located at 1515 Memorial Dr., Manitowoc. To schedule your appointment, please call The Community Blood Center at (800) 280-4102 or visit donate.communityblood.org/donor. Manitowoc Public Library: Set sail for family adventure on Tuesday, March 30th, from 6:30-8:00 pm with MPL and Wisconsin Maritime Museum! Enjoy FREE self-guided tours of WMM’s main exhibits and USS Cobia. Registration is required. Register at https://www.eventbrite.com/.../library-night-at-wisconsin... Submarine tours will be first-come, first-served. Groups of no more than ten will be allowed onto the submarine every ten minutes. Guides will be stationed throughout the boat to answer questions and keep everyone on schedule. Face coverings and social distancing required. Adults must accompany children at all times.
City of Two Rivers: The Two Rivers Parks and Recreation is taking Boys Baseball/Girls Softball registration till March 30th. Girls—Ponytail, Single A, Double A, Triple A and Senior league. Boys—Peanuts, Pee Wee, Pony League and Boys/Girls T-Ball are all available. Outdoor Soccer—Session 1 in April and Session 2 in June. The Men's Horseshoe League will be starting Wednesday evenings beginning May 12th at Neshotah Park. Meeting, April 14th at Port Sandy Bay. PINK HEALS Manitowoc County: We are excited to announce we are resuming in-person volunteer meetings. Our first volunteer meeting of 2021 will be on Thursday, April 1st, at 6:30 pm. It will take place at Grow It Forward, 1502 Marshall Street in Manitowoc. We require masks and have enough space to be socially distanced. If you are interested in volunteering, you are most welcome to attend.

Two Rivers Optimist Club is hosting a traditional Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 3rd, at Neshotah Park in Two Rivers at 11:00 am. 4,000 Easter Eggs will be hidden in age appropriate areas. April 6th: "Flourishing: Optimal Living in Uncertain Times". Presenters will guide us towards tuning into our bodies using tools to nourish our nervous system. April 14th: "Talking About What Matters the Most- it is an act of caring!" National speaker, Patty Webster will guide us in how to think and talk about our end of life wishes. Fundraisers:
Van der Brohe Arboretum: A Tree and Shrub Sale is currently being sponsored by Van der Brohe Arboretum and Bird Sanctuary. VDBA Director John Durbrow points out that as part of the Arboretum’s mission to bring more trees of greater diversity to the area, this sale features specimen trees of a broad variety of species. A complete listing of trees available can be viewed at vanderbrohearboretum.org. Additional species of trees and shrubs might be ordered by contacting the Arboretum through their website. Partnering with Johnson’s Nursery, VDBA offers the plants this spring at 20% off retail price to encourage expanding the tree canopy in the County. Many garden centers in Manitowoc County have closed, making this a unique opportunity to source trees not available from the big box stores.  
Hope House of Manitowoc County: We have partnered with Pizza Ranch in honor of Pi Day (3.14) for a fundraiser. Purchase their famous pizzas and help our guests at the same time. All proceeds from sales will come to Hope House. Miss Harbor Cities Organization, Inc. (MHC): Ellie has launched the service project: Boxes of Brightness, which are care packages for seniors. The loneliness of social distancing has been hard on everyone this year and our senior citizens were the most restricted. She hopes to bring some brightness into their lives. Scholarships:
The Rotary Club of Two Rivers is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a regional technical college in Wisconsin. Applicant must be graduating in June 2021 from Two Rivers High School (TRHS), applying to a technical college, and beginning college study in Fall 2021. Deadline to submit your completed application to TRHS is Friday, April 16th. The 4K teachers are licensed by the DPI to teach typically developing youngsters, children with delays and those with advanced skills. BayCare ClinicMild weather continues to be good news for construction of the new BayCare Clinic Lakeside Campus in Manitowoc. “The Lakeside Campus building continues to take shape, thanks in part to recent mild weather. We’re excited to see progress and hope our community is excited as well,” says Dr. Jon Henry, an orthopedic surgeon with Orthopedics & Sports Medicine BayCare Clinic in Manitowoc. The 46,000-square-foot facility is under construction on 9.3 acres of land at 1111 Bayshore Drive. It’s expected to be complete by the fall.

United Way Manitowoc County: On March 21, 2020, United Way Manitowoc County launched their COVID-19 Basic Needs Relief Fund in partnership with Manitowoc County’s COAD in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. One year later, they’re looking back on the impact made and work done so far to help the community respond, recover, reimagine and rebuild.
