Manitowoc Public Library: Join local author, Ellison Clark, in the Balkansky Room of Manitowoc Public Library on Wednesday, November 24th, at 4:00 pm for a discussion of her book With You. Ellison will be reading selections from her book—the story of four inseparable young women that grow and mature as their lives become more complex—as well as signing copies of her novel.

Lincoln Park Zoological Society: Join the Lincoln Park Zoological Society in celebrating its 10th Anniversary production of Lights in Lincoln Park. Entrance to the show is at Waldo/Lincoln Blvd. Manitowoc. Show dates are Friday November 26th and Saturday November 27th and every Thursday, Friday and Saturday beginning December 2nd through December 11th. Starting December 16th through December 29th: every night. Show hours are 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Admission: Donation of $5.00 per car. Santa Nights will again be held in Cabin 1 on Friday, November 26th and December 3rd, 10th, and 17th. From 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Family Fun Walk will be held on Tuesday November 23rd and Thursday December 30th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Donation $5.00 per Adult and $10.00 per family. Learn More. Holy Family Memorial: In 1986, the Memorial Hospital Women’s Auxiliary lit the first Love Light Tree to honor our nation’s veterans. Through the years, the celebration evolved to honor and remember loved ones. This year, we invite you to join us virtually for our 35th anniversary of the Love Light Tree Celebration on Wednesday, December 1st at 5:00 pm. Proceeds from this year’s celebration will support Holy Family Memorial’s Veteran’s Health Fund. To purchase a light, visit hfmhealth.org/lovelight.

Wisconsin Maritime Museum: Saturday, December 4th — Annual Christmas Tree Ship Day at the museum. We will be open from 10:00 am–4:00 pm with self-guided submarine tours available. Admission to the museum will be free on December 4th. The event will feature kids’ activities, a program on the Rouse Simmons (Christmas Tree Ship), and a visit from the big man himself, Santa Claus! The museum’s rooftop bar, Sub Pub on the Water, will also be open from 10:00 am–2:00 pm featuring warm drinks, such as boozy hot chocolate and hot cider. At approximately 10:00 am Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and Santa’s elves will arrive via fish tug along the Riverwalk by the museum. Also check out the Sip & Shop Holiday Market on December 4th from 4:00–8:00 pm.

Lakeshore Wind Ensemble Association: Saturday, December 4th, 7:30 pm, Capitol Civic Centre. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Joel Ungemach, Conductor and Music Director at Manitowoc Lutheran High School, brings back the traditional Christmas concert you know and love with spirited and festive songs like The Bells of Christmas, Festival Fanfare for Christmas, Go Tell It on the Mountain, The Nutcracker Suite and a lively take on percussion with the African Bell Carol. Unity Hospice: To help support and guide those who may be facing the darkness of loss and grief this holiday season, Unity Grief and Education Center invites those who have experienced the death of a loved one to join us Tuesday, December 14th at 7:00 pm for our 7th Annual Honor a Life Holiday Gathering.
