Manitowoc County Kennel Club next session of obedience classes begin Tuesday, November 6th. Novice / Rally, Puppy and Beginner Obedience Classes will be offered. Friends of Red Arrow Park: The Division served with the Army of Occupation in Germany until April 18th, 1919 and began its return to the U.S. on May 1st, 1919. Returning home, the Division was demobilized in May 1919 and returned to National Guard status about a year later. On October 15th, 1940, the 32nd Division, Wisconsin and Michigan National Guard was again called to Active Duty. In July of 1941, the 32nd Division's official name was modified to 32nd Infantry Division.

Managing Change - Facing the Future 2018: Dr. Paul Carlsen of Lakeshore Technical College will be presenting on "Generational Differences: Transitioning From A Baby Boomer CEO To A Millennial CEO. At Lakeshore Technical College, the Board of Trustees hired a millennial to take the reins of Lakeshore Technical College after the retirement of a successful, long-tenured baby boomer CEO. A change in leadership results in institutional shock, but the shock is unique when a new leader has an entirely different generational perspective. This presentation will outline different world views between baby boomers and millennials and how transistioning to different world views played out at Lakeshore Technical College." The Haven of Manitowoc County: The Haven is still collecting clean, empty plastic bottles, jars, and bottle caps for our recycling program. The Haven of Manitowoc County is providing a Thanksgiving meal for our guests. We are in need of potatoes, buns or rolls, cucumbers, gravy mixes, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, medium shell pasta, imitation crab meat, frozen peas, miracle whip salad dressing and 2 turkeys. We have volunteers that are going to prepare and serve the meal. Thank you very much!
Manitowoc Public Library (MPL): Give the gift of reading...it's the Best Gift Ever! Bring your donations of new, unwrapped books to the Manitowoc Public Library. Lester Public Library: November 8th, at 6:00pm, Dr. Kerry A. Trask, professor emeritus of University of Wisconsin Colleges, relates his experience writing, "Spirit of the Rivers: A Story in Bronze", a book about the newly dedicated sculpture. Next Tuesday, November 13th, we begin our weekly Teen DIY Holiday series: those 10 and older can drop in between 6:00-8:00pm to create handmade items for friends and family. Mini buttons, headbands and fuse bead ornaments are November's featured gift items.
