INIC UPDATE
:
There has been reported cases of strep throat in preschool and middle school. Sore throat usually lasts a few days and turns into a cold but the Strep throat is much more painful and quick onset. Not everyone gets a fever with it. If you suspect it; a doctor's visit is required to test for strep culture. Thank you for making us aware of illnesses it helps to prevent contagiousness.
There has been a number of students with complaints of stomach pain in varying degrees. Without a fever, I will encourage them to get through their day. If they return numerous times I will let you know. And lastly, we have had a few reported cases of the flu. This usually entails missing numerous days of school, so please make me aware if your child is home with the flu. If you have not gotten a flu shot yet---put it on the To Do List!!
FARE's Teal Pumpkin Project®
is a worldwide movement to create a safer, happier Halloween for all kids. Putting a teal pumpkin on your doorstep means you have non-food treats available, such as glow sticks or small toys. This simple act promotes inclusion for trick-or-treaters with food allergies or other conditions.
Have a great week and a Safe Fun Halloween!!
