Mindful Moment: Holiday gatherings often trigger obligation to stay longer than you prefer. Practice the guilt-free exit by deciding your boundaries before arriving, whether that's two hours at a party or skipping dessert to leave early. Tell yourself that protecting your energy isn't rude, it's necessary for enjoying the season sustainably. Prepare a gracious departure line: "This was wonderful, but I need to head out." Most people understand more than you think. Leaving when you're still enjoying yourself, rather than waiting until you're depleted, helps you show up more fully at the next gathering and preserves genuine holiday joy.
