Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital, Healthiest Manitowoc County and the Manitowoc Parks and Recreation Department are pleased to present Fit in the Park again this summer. Join us Thursday, July 23rd, from 5:00-6:00pm in Lighthouse Park, 475 Maritime Drive, Manitowoc, to end your day with a walk along the scenic lakeshore. All ages and fitness levels are welcome at this family-friendly event. Participation is free; registration is not required. Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in and bring water and sunscreen.

Two Rivers Optimist Club: The Annual Two Rivers Optimist Great Bike Give- A- Way will be held on Wednesday July 29th, 2027 at Walsh Field, 2201 Polk Street Two Rivers. Registration begins at 6:00pm with drawing for the bikes at 6:30pm. All children between the ages of 2 and 12 are welcome to enter their names for the chance to win a new bike! Children must be present to win!  All bikes are donated by individuals and businesses. Manitowoc Public Library: Partake in a bit of friendly “C-O-M-P-E-T-I-T-I-O-N” while indulging in some quality microbrews (should you so choose) during “Brew ‘N Bee VI: From Bee to Shining Bee!”, a Spelling Bee for Adults, returning to PetSkull Brewing, in partnership with Manitowoc Public Library, on Wednesday, July 22nd, from 6:00-8:00pm. A $20 participation fee is required. Perks, Prizes, and Cheats-For-Purchase Galore! More importantly, “From Bee to Shining Bee” is a fundraiser for Friends of Manitowoc Public Library! The Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center (NEWAHEC) invites you to join us on Thursday, July 23rd, at 4:00pm as we celebrate the Ribbon Cutting for our second Public Health Vending Machine (PHVM) located outside the Two Rivers Fire Department. This innovative resource provides free, confidential access to health and wellness supplies 24 hours a day, seven days a week, helping improve community health and safety. Come learn how this initiative will benefit our community, and celebrate this exciting milestone with us. Refreshments will be provided by Grow It Forward following the ceremony.

Kiwanis Club of Manitowoc: Join the Kiwanis Club of Manitowoc for the 44th Annual Car & Motorcycle Show on Sunday, August 9th, from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Washington Park in downtown Manitowoc. Enjoy free spectator admission, classic and modern vehicles, motorcycles, food, family activities, Lakeshore FIRST Robotics demonstrations, and a performance by the Manitowoc Marine Band. Vehicle registration begins at 8:00am. This long-standing community event supports Kiwanis efforts to serve local youth and families.

Wisconsin Maritime Museum is proud to partner with Wisconsin Dance Theatre for A Hero's Homecoming at the Franciscan Center in Manitowoc on Saturday, July 25th, at 7:00pm and Sunday, July 26th, at 3:00pm. Set at the end of World War II, this inspiring production features professional dancers and live accompaniment by a ten-piece jazz band. Best of all, 50% of all ticket sales will support the Museum's mission and the ongoing preservation of USS Cobia.

Manitowoc County Historical Society Museum and Pinecrest Village, 924 Pinecrest Road in Manitowoc, will hold an event highlighting vintage wheels, culture, and ice cream on Saturday, July 25th, 2026. The Mid Summer Meltdown will be held from 10:00am to 4:00pm with special activities and live music taking place throughout the day. Cars begin filling the village at 10:00am. Guests coming to view the cars should plan to arrive closer to 11:00am. General admission prices for the event will be a ‘throwback’ to the site’s 1976 prices: $1 for adults, $.50 for children age 12 to 17, and free for children under age 12. Registration for vintage cars is only $10. Mid Summer Meltdown is made possible in part by WOMT 100, Hawkins Ash CPAs, and Bank First.

Patriot Riders of America WI Chapter 2: Veterans helping veterans—that's what it's all about. The Patriot Riders of America Wisconsin Chapter 2 are still accepting donations for Desert Veterans of Wisconsin Green Bay in conjunction with the 4th Annual Dustin J. Knapp Memorial Car and Bike Show on August 15th. Desert Veterans of Wisconsin provides encouragement, support, and assistance to veterans, active military personnel, and their families while continuing to serve communities throughout the state, including Manitowoc County. Donations are tax deductible and will be accepted through August 31st. Aurora BayCare is excited to host the 4th Annual YWCA TechGYRLS on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, from 1:30–3:30pm at Aurora BayCare (1160 Kepler Dr., Green Bay). The Safety Health and Wellness Committee: Outdoor fires are always a cause for concern during the summer months. Good reminders to ensure fire safety are: built in-ground fire pits shall be located at least 25 feet from a structure, 10 feet from a fence or overhang. Smoke from cooking grills, built in-ground, or portable fire pits shall not create a nuisance for neighboring property owners. Law enforcement officers and Fire Rescue Department officials have the authority to order fires extinguished if a nuisance is being created. Enjoy fires responsibly!
