Mindful Moment: Physical activity boosts health—it improves heart function, strengthens bones and muscles, and reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes, some cancers, and depression (source: CDC). Quick ways to get active: break up your sedentary time with physical activity breaks, try walking briskly, biking, dancing, or taking the stairs. Add strength training and balance exercises for even more benefits. Good news: even short bursts of activity help. Moving more and sitting less each day can make a big difference in your long-term health.
