 Shady Lane Inc. is hosting an educational event on Tuesday, March 24th at 9:30am called “Bridging the Gap: Public Funding for Assisted Living Care” presented by Lori Edwards, Information and Assistance Specialist from the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of the Lakeshore. Lori will be speaking about how they can help explore funding for assisted living care. They can help with discovering the programs that exist, how Medicaid works, the application process, and more! This event is free, open to the public, and will be held in the newest building on the Shady Lane campus located at 1235 S. 24th Street in Manitowoc.

The Haven of Manitowoc County: Join us for Shamrocks for Shelter 2026, a St. Patrick’s Day–themed fundraiser supporting The Haven of Manitowoc County’s men’s homeless shelter. The event will be held Saturday, March 14th at Silver Valley Banquet Hall (1222 S Alverno Rd, Manitowoc) and features a four-person, bracket-style bean bag tournament, along with raffle baskets, 50/50 raffles, a human slot machine, live music by Hightower Entertainment, delicious food, and a best dressed contest. The Chamber of Manitowoc County: Join us on Thursday, March 19th from 6:30–8:00pm at the Two Rivers City Hall Council Chambers (1717 Park Street, Two Rivers) for a Two Rivers City Council Candidates Forum. Hosted by The Chamber of Manitowoc County in partnership with the Two Rivers Business Association and the League of Women Voters–Manitowoc County, this event invites community members to hear directly from candidates Katherine Dahlke, Adam Wachowski, Bonnie Shimulunas, Shawntel L. Manitowoc County Kennel Club: Who can join the MCKC? If you have a love of dogs, the MCKC is for you. The Safety Health and Wellness Committee: Most facilities always have dozens or even hundreds of different tools on site. This is important because each tool has a specific purpose and job, which it will perform if used properly. In some cases, people will be tempted to take a workplace safety shortcut by using a tool they have with them, rather than taking the time to get the proper tool.
