Young Professionals of Manitowoc County: Looking for a fun way to give back and connect with others in the community? Join us for a beach cleanup this Saturday, May 16th, from 9:00 to 11:00am at Lakefront Park (formerly "Warm Waters Beach"). It’s a great way to volunteer and enjoy the scenic lakeshore. Families are also welcome with adult supervision. All cleaning supplies will be provided by the Friends of the Manitowoc River Watershed (FMRW). Please dress in layers, as it can be chilly and windy by the water this time of year. Also, wear durable shoes. Bring a friend or come solo, we’d love to have you join us! BayCare Clinic: Join us Saturday, June 6th, 2026, for the BayCare Clinic Century, one of Northeast Wisconsin’s most popular cycling events. With 100-, 60-, 30-, and 15-mile routes, riders of all ages and abilities can enjoy a scenic Bayshore to Lakeshore journey from Green Bay to Lake Michigan and back. Starting and ending at BayCare Clinic Headquarters, this event supports local nonprofits through the BayCare Clinic Foundation. Manitowoc County Historical Society: Manitowoc area heritage, maritime history, printing history, historic artwork, natural landscapes and past and present agriculture can all be appreciated from Thursday, May 14th through Sunday, May 17th, as six of the community's organizations join together for a "Member Swap Weekend." Members of Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center, Manitowoc County Historical Society, Wisconsin Maritime Museum, Hamilton Wood-Type & Printing Museum, Rahr-West Art Museum and Woodland Dunes Nature Center and Preserve can experience all of these local museums from Thursday May 14th through Sunday May 17th, with specific hours varying by each organization. This weekend allows members of any of these organizations to visit any of the other five free of charge.

Patriot Riders of America WI Chapter 2: The 4th Annual Dennis J Murphy Memorial Ride/Cruise is June 6th and proceeds benefit Old Glory Honor Flight. The cost per Veteran to fly to Washington DC is $500. This trip gives our Veterans a chance to connect with each other and heal from their time in the service during WWII, Korea and the Vietnam War. Manitowoc Public Library: Join Manitowoc-Calumet Library System for a pair of Library Card Free Days on Friday, May 15th and Saturday, May 16th at Manitowoc County Historical Society Museum and Pinecrest Village (924 Pinecrest Road, Manitowoc). Guests can show their MCLS library cards (Manitowoc, Lester, Brillion, Chilton, Kiel, and New Holstein) from 10:00am to 4:00pm either day to tour the museum and village at no cost!

Leadership Manitowoc County (LMC) is a community engagement program that brings together potential leaders who will be encouraged, motivated and prepared to assume more influential roles as leaders of Manitowoc County. The Safety Health and Wellness Committee: OSHA’s new “Safety Champions Program” is a voluntary, self‑guided initiative that helps employers build strong, prevention‑focused safety and health programs. It uses a three‑step framework—Introductory, Intermediate, and Advanced—based on OSHA’s seven core elements, including leadership, worker participation, hazard identification, and training. Manitowoc County Kennel Club: What is AKC Scent Work? AKC Scent Work is a sport that allows our dogs to use their wonderful noses! It lets us become a team with our dog and bond working toward many different titles. In Scent Work dogs are trained to recognize and alert on specific odors. These odors are placed in different environments: Container, Interior, Exterior and Buried for the dogs to search out and indicate to us where they are. All dogs have working noses. So get those dogs off the couch and give it a try! Classes offered!

Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital is pleased to welcome Kristin Lampe, MSN, to its team. Kristen serves in the hospital’s Surgery Optimization and Coordination Center. The Center helps patients manage the steps of their surgical journey from decision through recovery. Participation in the program provides improved readiness for surgery, better surgical outcomes and reduced length of hospital stays. Patients preparing for surgery will be referred to Kristin by their physician.
