Franciscan Center: We are offering seven classes of Music for TOTs for babies and young children (6 months to age 5) this summer from June 9th-August 4th, 2025. Class offerings are on Tuesdays and Thursdays (morning or evening) Class size must be minimum of five. Price is $59.50 for all seven classes. Music for TOTs Schedule is the following: Week 1- week of June 9th, Week 2- week of June 16th, Week 3- week of June 23rd, Week 4- week of July 7th, Week 5- week of July 14th, Week 6- week of July 21st, Week 7- week of July 28th.

Lester Public Library: Bilingual language classes are offered at 6:00pm Wednesday evenings for English and Spanish speakers who want to learn or improve skills in the other language. Meet up at 6:00pm Mondays for our weekly Family Game Night. We have all your favorite board and card games; select one and find a comfy spot to play (and enjoy free popcorn). Next week, bring healthy plants to leave and find some new ones to take home at our Garden Plant Swap 5:00-7:00pm Wednesday, May 28th.

Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital Home Health operations manager Nicole Naidl will remember and honor those who died while protecting our nation as she plays “Taps” as part of the “Taps Across America” effort at the hospital on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th. All are invited to join Naidl at 3:00pm at the flagpole at the Western Ave. entrance. Taps Across America raises awareness about Memorial Day and the National Moment of Remembrance. Every Memorial Day at 3:00pm, Americans are asked to pause for one minute to remember those who have died in military service to the United States. In addition, the “Memorial” portion of the hospital name is in remembrance of our nation’s veterans.

Boys & Girls Club of Manitowoc County: Tee up fore great futures at the 2025 Great Futures Fore Kids Golf Outing! This fun and memorable event will take place on Monday, July 21st at Autumn Ridge Golf Course. We are excited to once again gather alongside the Club’s impact partners and share in meaningful moments and commitment to support great futures for youth in our community. Manitowoc County Historical Society 924 Pinecrest Road in Manitowoc, will hold its annual Library Card Free Day in conjunction with the Manitowoc-Calumet Library system on Saturday, May 24th from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Visitors can show their Manitowoc-Calumet Library system card and gain free access to the museum and village for the day. A full slate of activities and experiences will take place as part of Library Card Free Day. The Library Card Free Day, presented in partnership with the Manitowoc Public Library, Lester Public Library, and Brillion Public Library is one of the many opportunities the Historical Society offers with local libraries. Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum: Coptic Stitch Book Binding with Laura Farahzad Mayer: Saturday, May 31st from 9:00am–4:00pm. Coptic bookbinding is one of the oldest methods for sewing books. During this workshop you will craft a book from scratch and learn how to use the Coptic stitch to bind your signatures together. You will learn how to cover boards with decorative paper to create the front and back covers which will be sewn to your signatures. Manitowoc County Kennel Club along with Packerland Kennel Club invite you to the Sail Into Summer Cluster Dog Show on June 5th - 8th at the Manitowoc County Expo Grounds. Fast Cat Trials will be offered all four days also. Come and cheer on your favorite breed or research possible companion, confirmation, agility, or field dogs. Unique dog products and gifts available. Manitowoc Public Library: The Libby app gives you online access to thousands of free eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines. Join us Wednesday, May 21, from 10-11:30 AM in MPL’s Second Floor Board Room for a demonstration and receive hands-on assistance. Our staff will show you how to download Libby, search for titles, and borrow books. You’ll also get helpful tips for app navigation. This class is free for all ages and no registration is required. Bring your device (tablet, smart phone, Kindle, etc.), your library card, and know your passwords!

Painting Pathways: Are you looking for a fun way to spend time with your closest friends? Maybe time to bond with loved ones? How about a creative outlet to team build with coworkers?

Wisconsin Maritime Museum: The Six: The Untold Story of the TITANIC’s Chinese Survivors.

On Sunday, June 1st at 2:00pm, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum will host a free presentation of The Six: The Untold Story of the TITANIC’s Chinese Survivors with author Steven Schwankert. This powerful program explores the lives of six Chinese men who survived the Titanic disaster and were nearly erased from history. Special guest Tom Fong, son of survivor Fang Lang, will share personal insights. A must-attend for history buffs and those interested in uncovering overlooked stories of resilience and survival.

The Safety Health and Wellness Committee: If you are in manufacturing and have a severe injury that results in amputation, admittance to a hospital, loss of an eye, or two or more employees injured in the same incident, you must report that injury to OSHA within 24-Hours! This report does not mean you will automatically get an OSHA inspection. Depending on severity you may avoid an inspection by prompt thorough accident investigation and response. OSHA now uses a Rapid Response Investigation (RRI) Process. She recently graduated from Michigan Technological University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science.
