Lights in Lincoln Park: The 14th annual Lights in Lincoln Park will be here soon, and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Each year individuals, families, businesses and organizations sponsor one of our beautiful light displays and receive recognition in several ways. Sponsors are recognized with an illuminated sign near their display, in the event program, on our website, and in social media posts. Because our light show stretches over 5 weeks and sees more than 10,000 visitors, sponsorship is a great way to honor a loved one, effectively market your business, and is a wonderful way to support the zoo! Manitowoc County Historical Society: You're invited to the Ribbon Cutting of the newly restored Nennig Dance Pavilion at the Manitowoc County Historical Society on Tuesday, October 28th at 12:00pm, located at 924 Pinecrest Road, Manitowoc. Originally built in the 1890s, this unique eight-sided building once hosted countless community events before closing in 2022 due to structural concerns. Thanks to A.C.E. Building Service, Amish group, Red Maple Sales, and Legacy Architecture, it’s now beautifully restored and the doors are open again for generations to entertain. Enjoy refreshments, learn about its restoration journey, and help us celebrate! BayCare Clinic: Families are invited to join us for a spook-tacular time tonight! BayCare Clinic and the Young Professionals of Manitowoc County are hosting a Trunk or Treat event tonight, Tuesday, October 14th from 5:00-6:30pm at BayCare Clinic’s Lakeside Campus. Local businesses will be decorating their vehicles and distributing candy to trick-or-treaters. The Haven, Habitat for Humanity, & Hope House: Mark your calendars for the 10th Annual Cardboard City: Battle of the Builders on October 24th–25th, 2025 at First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc! Enjoy live music, speakers, food trucks, and family fun while raising awareness of homelessness. Build your own cardboard structure (overnight optional!) or cheer others on. Manitowoc Public Library: Manitowoc Public Library’s role in the community is continuously evolving. Did you know MPL has a Makerspace, a Seed Library, and a Toy Library? Learn about these and more on Thursday, October 16th, at 6:00pm during "Check Out the Library: A Tour of MPL.” This guided tour will introduce you to many of our wonderful features, including: An overview of collections for Adults, Teens, and Kids, A preview of upcoming programs and special events, A walking tour of the building, consisting of public areas only.

Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital is hosting a community blood drive Wednesday, October 22nd, from 1:00-6:00pm at the hospital. Blood donors help patients facing life-threatening conditions and every donation has the potential to save multiple lives. The blood drive is open to the public. Donors must be at least 16 years old and in general good health. Bring a photo ID or blood donor card, eat a healthy meal, and drink plenty of water before donating. Boys & Girls Club of Manitowoc County: The Festival Foods Turkey Trot is a little over a month away!  We are looking for volunteers for Wednesday, Bib pick up and Thursday, race day positions!  This year, all outside volunteers will get a free beanie to stay warm! Chamber of Manitowoc County: Pursuant to the Bylaws of the Chamber of Manitowoc County, the following individual (s) have been nominated by the Chamber’s Board Governance Committee to be re-nominated for a subsequent term:  Eric Duenkel and Josh Thompson. Additional names of candidates for Director may be nominated by a petition bearing the genuine signatures of at least twenty-five qualified members of The Chamber. Such petition shall be filed with the Board Governance Committee within fifteen days after receipt of this Notice. If no petition is filed within the fifteen-day period, nominations shall be closed and the candidates identified above shall be declared to be elected by the Board of Directors at its next meeting with an effective date of January 1st, 2026. If a petition shall present additional candidates, elections shall be conducted in accordance with the Bylaws.
