|Tuesday Tidbits Overview in honor of our Lenten Journey!
Congratulations to our Band Director, Ms. Lauren Fitzpatrick and the STS Advanced Band, for receiving a
Superior Rating at this year's Diocesan Band Festival.
he STS band received a perfect score from both judges. Of the 40 bands who performed, only two were awarded a perfect score - STS and St. Thomas More, who's director has been with the school since the founding of band program in the Diocese. Congratulations to all, we are extremely proud of you.
This week a special Lenten gift will be sent home to each family. It's a Lenten Prayer and Reflection CD! Our students have been recorded praying the Sorrowful Mysteries. The CD also includes meditations by our parish priests, and special prayers have been recorded. It is our hope that you will grow closer to our Lord and Savior through listening and mediating on the messages found in this CD. A special thank you to Mrs. Amy Powers & Mrs. MaryLynne Duncan for
their countless hours spent bringing this to fruition.

God Bless You,
Mr. Joseph M. McLaughlin,
It has been a long held tradition during Lent at STS, that members in the National Junior Honor Society create and perform the Living
Stations of the Cross: Jesus' final steps before he was crucified on Go
od Friday. This solemn and reverent performance reminds each of us how much Christ loved us to the point of dying a public and painful death on the cross for each one of us.
Well done NJHS members!
We're proud of you!
